In other news the Republican side of social media is mad that Bradley Cooper (the actor from the film American Sniper) is at the DNC and a Hillary supporter when, as the living incarnation of Chris Kyle (renowned brown people killer), he really should be a Trump supporter. There is a sense that the actor has an obligation to go on living as Chris Kyle would and that by supporting Hillary he has betrayed the Republicans.

The more I follow this election the more jaded I become with politics.
And the less faith I have in democracy to continue to work in the future

It's almost as if an actor's job is to take on a role that might not necessarily be exactly the same as the actor's real life persona.

This is my favorite party of the Trump site. Military policy as written by a 8th grader. America will be a big, strong military no no one will stop us because we are so big and strong.

We will give Iran a wet willy! We will pants Russia! We will shove China into a locker!

Like the very state of affairs that Clinton and Trump are my two options this election
This isn't even democracy anyways

It is also the best system we have come up with in history.

That's debatable.

Also just finished watching Obama's speech. Other than the fact that he said that communists threaten America (whitedoge be warned) it's one of his very solid speeches. Felt a lot like an exit speech than a straight endorsement of Hillary though. More than half of it was talking about himself and his own presidency, as an attempt to tie it into how Hillary will be more of the same.

Everything is debatable on the internet, you would however be on the wrong side of this debate.

Yes thats what you call an endorsement, I have these ideas and values and things I did and want to do.
That sounds like the trolliest thing Ive seen all day.

I want to ask LegalLord/xDaunt/other Trump voters what they made of the AMA yesterday?
It's made me seriously reconsider the degree to which Trump is running a con campaign play for power.
Which leaves Hillary's play for power backed by the establishment vs Trump's play for power backed by a guerilla populist campaign
And there's like no point even talking or learning about anyone else because Stein and Johnson don't even have a chance
edit - and while I think Obama is a great orator who didn't do a terrible job in the oval office, I'm largely dismayed by how people seem to be chugging what he's selling like coolaid in that speech

Just roll the dice and give the establishment your middle finger, given these options that's about as much thought that I need to put into my vote

One country that has not been attacked by a foreign nation for 200 years has had a stable democracy for just under 250 years.
A lot of nations have had a stable democracy for less than 100 in a world with nuclear weapons. A lot of weak nations have had unstable democracies.
There are other systems of government that have been stable for longer than that, especially if under favorable circumstances.
Debatable to say the least.

NC GOP mistakenly attacks Kaine for 'shameful' pin
he North Carolina GOP mistook a pin Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) wore on his lapel while speaking at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday for the flag of Honduras, calling it a shameful move on the part of the vice presidential candidate.
"@timkaine wears a Honduras flag pin on his jacket but no American flag. Shameful," the state party said Wednesday in a now deleted tweet.
Kaine was actually wearing a Blue Star Service pin for his son, who is a deployed Marine.
The party's account later responded to the reporter, saying "We appreciate you letting us know. Thanks for letting us correct our mistake."

This is too funny, but I'm glad they owned up to the mistake.

I don't think there's a correlation. At least not as big as you imply.
Yes, Obama gets praised for his speeches, rightfully so. People love listening to him. I don't think it does matter what he's saying when he gives a speech like that though. It doesn't make Hillary look more appealing, it makes him more appealing, to the point that people wish they could get 4 more years out of him.
It's a bit like Samuel L Jackson. He could read the back of a shampoo-bottle to me and i'd still would listen as if i were mesmerized.

I don't like Hillary and I call bullshit on the many stupid things that her supporters say. But I hate the Republican party even more and it is so antithetical to my views that I might just have to vote blindly party-line against them.
The AMA, as far as I heard, was basically a wash. Not much there to look at.

That's an alarming attitude for such a dangerous die to roll. Revolutions usually don't end well.
