And yet, western tech companies make use of sweatshops in those countries where people work in absolutely disgusting conditions for endless hours, and we get outraged for 15-20 minutes when we hear about it, right before buying the latest iPad which is more shiny from all the new, even smaller children polishing it with their tiny hands. + Show Spoiler + They won't be around for the next iPad because they'll have arthritis by then. And then they use a bad word and ooooh, how dare they use a word that has been bad in the US [for the last 50 years].

I honestly don't believe they are trying to be offensive at all. This is just true. If not for the internet i wouldn't know that Nigger is still considered to be REALLY offensive in the US... I mean, the word is like used in every hip hop video and tons of movies were "friends" say it to each other?

in Hong Kong, we consider 黑鬼 to be insulting (it just means Black ghost, ghost being foreigners. Basically when you use this word, you are using it to attack the fact that he is black, that's why this word is insulting athough in direct translation, doesn't really have much racism in it.) In Taiwan and China, they just add some adjective words onto the 黑人 part, like 臭黑人 (smelly black person). In fact, one of the most famous toothpaste in Hong Kong and Taiwan is called 黑人牙膏. (black man toothpaste) The original name of this product is called Darkie but later is changed to Darlie because it is said to be racism. (just for fun, there was a 白人牙膏 as well, 白 = white. according to wiki, there is a 綠人牙膏, 綠 = green)
