A store in Taiwan markets itself as a source for "hip hop urban clothing and gears." Fine enough. Chinese can do hip hop too right. What takes the cake though is something devastatingly funny if it were not totally moronic and racist - the name of the store: Nigger King. I am abashed and do apologize for the word, but it has to be written for purposes of clarity and discussion.
We know of Burger King right? And we also know about Engrish or Chingrish whatever they call it. But don't they do at least basic research before naming a store? Like, the word was last used under peaceful cicumstances in the 1950s'. Use it now and you'll get to all sorts of trouble. Does Taiwan not know about this?
I hope they change it soon.

Lol, I JUST posted this the other day on a friend's facebook who returned from a trip from Taiwan. 黑人王 = Black Man King. It's been changed, though to Niggar King.

I mean, I dont take offense to it. The word "Nigger" comes from "Negro" which means black. They don't know what the meaning behind the word "could" be because its something that only stuck around the english language as a derogatory term which most people that aren't native english speakers would know about unless told about it.

Nothing's fishy. The shop was asked to change the name, so, like I said, they changed the name to Niggar King.
