i'm a bw person who has come over to the sc2 forums sorry.... i don't really hold any bad feelings against any sc2 ppl.... really i just haven't made the move because my computer sucks and can't handle sc2.... also i actually like the fact that mechanics matters more in bw because i believe that anyone can improve their mechanics and it's just a sign of dedication.... i started off with around 40ish apm and now i can play at 310ish....
i will follow the bw pros into sc2.... hopefully, with time, i will come to understand and appreciate the game....
to correct a few things said before.... 230 apm is really low.... i have three replays of flash and his apm is in the low 300s which is indeed really low for a bw progamer

You're implying im actually trolling.
We don't call Flash God for no reason.
Moving games will be hardest for people like you. What will you do when your teen "god" moves?
You can't really dispute Flash's reputation as "God"
The SC2 equivalent is if a player (MC, MMA, MVP, whoever) won 80% of the GSLs, got second place in the rest of them, and led his team to win all the GSTLs. I think you would call that player "God".

ForGG has performed well. He's legitimately earnt a Code S spot.
Which is nothing when it comes to the hype surrounding a BW A-teamer. Very well, in this case, means becoming a Top 3 player.

He was an A-Teamer in 2008, not 2011. By the time he switched his winrate in the past 30 games was something like 28%. Definetely agree he was overhyped though.

ForGG was a borderline A-Teamer when he switched. The last time he was fielded in BW was in December 2010, and was losing a lot. He switched b/c he would have probably retired. These are the facts.

Not when you look at the quality of players he was winning/losing against

I believe he is saying that you come off as an arrogant elitist by saying stuff like "move over sc2 kiddies", "SC2 = bad" etc. At least that is the impression I get when I read what you write. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but please voice them in a less condescending way. Thank you. The fewest people here doubt that Flash will be a very, very good SC2 player. Will he dominate SC2? No way to tell yet when we didn't even see a single game from him, though it's certainly possible for a guy with his talent.

you're so right, the raven is ridiculously underused. if anyone is going to use the seeker missile it'll be Flash. no doubt.
Also I hope that BW players' mechanics means we'll see some more 'macro a ton of units' rather than all ins and 2 base timings thus filtering out the all worse players for better games. MC comes to mind.

Ok I guess winning against Baby, Movie, Leta, Free, Zero, JangBi, Jaedong, Effort and Action during 2010 counts for nothing.

HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW
Have you even seen ForGG play?
I love it when people with little ability to analyze BW pros in context think ForGG was "good". His play was sloppy and depended on timing pushes and random aggression. His MSL run was marked by a teamkill finals. Get out of here.
I feel like moving from BW to SC2 is like moving from rugby XIII to XV. They may share the same basic rules, mechanics are way different. Flash, or any other top BW pros, dominating the scene is really not done.

Flash is a great (if not the greatest) RTS player. I would never hero/"god" worship him to the point of obsession like some people do. That was my point. Hope this cleared it up.

He was an A-teamer in 2010 and he made it to Ro8 in the MSL (lost 3-0 to Flash though, terribly one sided match). He wasn't a top player when he retired, but the end of the 09-10 season he was definitely top 20.
I think it's fair to say that his SC2 results were a disappointment. Many of us expected him to be one of the best players in the world by now.

You know who he faced in the semis? Never mind, just someone who fell to "sloppy play".

i hope they do good but because of all these haters i almost want to see them fail just so i can laugh at them ( the haters )
I usually agree with posst like this since bw people tend to overhype bw pros.. but man we are talking about Flash here, hes God and because we saw what he can do in bw we are sure he'll do well in sc2 and yeah you could say that players like July Boxer Nada or Forgg were good bw pros, so why havent they won a gsl? well they weren't doing well before they switched lol but during the las PL season Flash was 14-0 before lose his first game..
