Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne

ehhhhh, whats the point of bf nao?

plz blizz remove hellions and reapers alltogether and give us back the firebat, so we have an effective fightingweapon for melee, light, groundunits and no gay backstabby units

This is just a guess on the barrack change, but I think its to make it so Protoss can Nexus first or 1 gate FE against terran to better hold off the 1/1/1, while not flat out dying to 2 rax when terran scouts it. Just a guess though.

So, I guess we terrans are down to 1 last harass unit: banshee. Give it 2-3 months before banshees are nerfed into the ground and Terran is actually stuck going MMM every game. This is getting ridiculous. -_-

nerfing blue flame like that is SO fucking stupid. did they really think it through?

nerfing barracks time is so annoying. especially in tvp close positions. why can't blizzard just remove close positions altogether. sigh.

people need to stop crying about BFH change. they were always amazing vs workers, and only recently did more people use the BF upgrade (after MLG anaheim). red flame was already good b/c of speed and map control. BFH's are so underused in TvP i dont know why. Vs popular fast armor upgraded chargelots, BFH does way more dps per mineral cost than marines, but people are seriously too lazy to utilize them in fights.

As a Muta user in ZvZ, I'm glad to see it should take five fungals instead of four to kill mutas if that goes live. I'm very happy about the Overseer cost reduction as well. The Ultra build time decrease also makes so much sense, even if the unit itself retains it's disadvantages.

I honestly think the Hellion has been very healthy for the SC2 meta-game and as much as I hate them sometimes, I'm not sure if they should be nerfed. I guess if you really think about it, though, even if Blue Flame was completely removed they'd still be a powerful unit in groups of 3 and 4 or more. The barracks change is cool - I'm all for slowing down the Terran early game in any way possible. Seeker missile is interesting - hopefully that change leads to more opportunities to micro against it in pro games, making for more exciting and tense moments.

Protoss changes seem fine overall, I'm just fearful of Immortal range though, but I guess that's just me since I prefer the old-fashioned roach/hydra/corruptor style most of the time.

sadly 5 secs will probably just encourage terrans to tug more scvs off the mineral line.

Hmm, I think 5 second delay can be compensated by repair.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish TL had a Reddit-style upvote/downvote system so that I could read the thoughts of actual pros and community pillars (Travis/Alejandrisha/Sheth/Tyler/Jinro/etc.) without having to sift through 60 pages of trash like this.

Which is why most of my comments were geared toward TvT, most of the Protoss changes were heavily praised (I only disagreed with the WP buff) and the Zerg changes were considered unnecessary, in other words I'm fairly neutral on the Zerg changes.

But, no, please dismiss the whole post because you don't consider Carriers to be AOE.

And, judging from other comments, it seems like many others are also questioning the Terran nerfs. It's not like I'm against Terran nerfs, this is just not the way to do it. At this point Blizzard needs to be using a scalpel, not a baseball bat.
