Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne

Infestors got nerfed, immortal buff actually helps vs collossus in PvP and you might even be able to expand!

Blink still is the best upgrade for allowing you to retreat in the mid-game, being able to retreat is the #1 thing that lets you be aggressive without over-commiting (see: dropships, stim, roach speed, ling speed) you now just can't blink ontop of the unit that are meant to stop you (immortals) and kill them off because of the blink timing.

not rly because of the increase of the buildtime you can start the second depot earlier because the OC is delayed but that would indicate not a 2rax which is a good information to have


Good point.

For someone going gas follow-up after the first racks, they would be able to get their wall up faster than before now, as they can squeeze in the 2nd depot before barracks finish for OC w/o feeling like they're suffering loss in the economy department.

I doubt it's 3 seconds in-game time. Pretty sure all their changes refer to in game time aka 5 seconds in this case. I don't know how 5 seconds would ever translate to 3 seconds in game time (in game time is faster than real time)

4g vs 4g meant the game was at least over quickly.

This might solve the 4 gate issue, but the matchup will revert to beta/early-release PvP where it was a colossus war.

Interesting change:

"Transports can no longer unload units into a dense area if the original order was issued on a fogged location."

I'm not sure how this will play out as I did not realize that you COULD unload in a dense area. I'm thinking this is good for toss seeing as T and Z are doing more conventional drops. Yes, we have our prism buff, but part of the prism usage is about warping in rather than dropping.

Hmm, now that I think about it, the infestor nerf will actually make baneling play look more interesting. I neglected bane rain, but it's actually good, and opens up a more active, tempo based style.

hmm not sure what was wrong with the barracks.... also geez what a buff on the hellion. Hopefully they increase the damage a bit or reduce cost I guess. P looks like they got a lot better with this patch although I'm not so sure about the blink change.

such a good patch, it helps with the 111 timing pvt, as well as the infestors and blink stalkers...
Please change the luck dependancy of spawning locations on rotationally symmetric maps.
