Omg over fucking cartoons the worst part is thats not particularly suprising. Ya know im all over inclusion and acceptance of all. But at some point we have to consider that not everyones point of veiw is equal and ok. I mean this is the 1st time this kinda thing has happened. So you know what fuck them i dont give a fuck how "offensive" these people think comics strips and cartoons are FUCK THEM. You dont get a pass for killing like this cause of you religion over CARTOONS.
The guy is said to be (ethnic) norwegian, + as others have said the bombings seem to be directed at a political party rather than norwegians in general. To me it seems very unlikely that this is islamic terror, afterall most terror in Europe is done by politically disstatisfied Europeans :/
I expect you know nothing about the connection between neo-nazis and radical islamists.
"afterall most terror in Europe is done by politically disstatisfied Europeans " This is an outrageous lie, if we talk DEADLY terror then it's like 99,9% islamists. You can't compare apples and oranges. This statement was thoroughly debunked by Magnus Ranstorp.
Please don't speculate about this tragedy when you don't know anything.
You could have not been more retarded than that mate. You should be banned for clear racism... Did you know Colombia has had terrorism for over 50 years and it has never been due to someone who is Islam or Muslim or from a radical sect of any religion? BTW, it is deadly terror....
1. I relayed FACTS from official Swedish government sources about deadly terrorism in Europe. Should I not trust them? 2. What the Colombia's lamentable problems have to do with Europe? 3. When was I racist? This is absurd, you are flinging dirt at me.
We was talking deadly terror. Ranstorp: "According to their figures did Islamic terrorists a single deed in Europe in 2009. The year before we saw not one, and in 2007 stayed in attacks on two pieces. But the statistics does not show the attacks occurring in the UK."
"The report from Europol insists that all member countries perceive Islamic terrorism as the biggest threat to citizens."
Stop the trolling please. We are here to talk about Oslo, you are here to troll...
"We have reason to believe the shooting has a link to the explosion in Oslo earlier today" - Bjørn Erik Sem-Jacobsen. He works with information within the police, no idea what that is or isn't. That depends on the person, I've been waiting for this for some time now. You don't shit in someone elses yard and don't expect the same to happen to you.
(Yes I'm referring to the Norwegian Armys' participation in wars here and there.)
It's been pretty clear what happens to countries that follow America on the battlefield after 9/11.

I don't get it. Isn't there a single armed cop on the island?
When i went to Oslo the street cops werent armed i actually walked up and asked one and he said they keep there side arms locked in their patrol cars. I remember thinking at the time thats a really useless place to have your gun but just chalked it up to me being american and used to everyone being armed.
If Norway is anything like Sweden people wouldn't be very happy if there was any weapon on an island strictly used for a children's summer camp. Prior to this incident at least.
Weird how are you gonna guard anything without a gun? What are they suppose to yell please stop? I know they arent a big fan of guns over there. But shouldnt the cops and gaurds have weapons im mean just in case something like this happen?
Cops yes, there should have been a (real) one with a gun. But who the hell thinks its a good idea to give a security guard a gun? those guys are usually roid-raging police academy dropouts who don't think things through/have behavioral disorders that don't let them be real police, so why should they get guns? Seriously a bad idea.
Edi: Oh nvm you are american, makes sense now.
Seriously a bad idea? I bet the poor people dead on the island wish some body had the horrible idea of having armed gaurds.

captain hindsight protects us all.
I don't want to start pro/against guns discussion, but it is confirmed the guy had an automatic weapon. One pistol is pretty heavily outmatched against that, so yer... having an armed guard there I doubt would've made things much different.
To all of you who doesn't understand why the cops doesn't carry a gun at all times. Our culture has no need for it. We have close to zero homocides in open streets, and close to zero all over. This is just so far from anything we as a nation are used too.

I am surprised of the timing: 1. 15.00 hours is closing of work hours in the government during summer, so that would mean less people in the government buildings.
2. We are in the middle of summer vacation, so that would HEAVILY mean less people in those buildings in the first hand.
Apart from that, they picked an obvious target for this bombing, right at the heart of our governmental power.
Indeed. It is almost as if someone wanted to tell a message, but did not really want casualties. That is unlike any (Islamist) terrorist group as far as I know. They would have enough preparation to know that this is a quiet time around Oslo centrum, especially after 15:00.
1843: Foreign Secretary William Hague says he sends his deepest condolences to all those who have lost relatives or been injured in the "horrific" bomb blast in Oslo.
"Our Embassy stands ready to provide assistance to any British nationals who may have been caught up in the attack.
"We condemn all acts of terrorism. The UK stands shoulder to shoulder with Norway and all our international allies in the face of such atrocities. We are committed to work tirelessly with them to combat the threat from terrorism in all its forms," he says in a statement.

I'm not sure how to interprete this, seeing as how I know nothing about the Norwegian government. Could somebody please help me out?

As I said there should have been at least 1 police officer on the island at all times to keep the peace, I was arguing that you shouldn't have a bunch of untrained idiots with questionable mental health holding guns and calling themselves "security" guards, like they do in the US.
