Shouldn't we want the highest level of standards possible from everything? I mean when I want to watch tournaments I always hope for the best. It'd be really weird to want mediocrity all the time
Why is this lower standard?
I personally would rather Liquid be excluded and avoid all the rage and comments about lag, there is enough good players that even without liquid they aren't going to lower the player pool quality and this way we get games without Korean lag.
Best possible solution.

Cant we all just say hey what a nice tourny cant wait for more like this!?!?!?!

In the end the blame is on Blizzard.
If we had:
1 - LAN;
2 - P2P Connection.
We would not have this problem.
For piracy concerns, each player should be connected to his "home" server for authentication and we would all be happy and would enjoy the best possible lag situation every game, every league. (and in Ladder too)
EDIT: Not to mention all the embarrassing problems with battle net on several tournaments so far.
P2P? Really? Why do you assume Joe Smith in Terre Haute, Indiana has better routing to Erik Nilsson in Sweden or Park Chi-ho in Korea than Blizzard?

Awesome! Excited to see what a seriously pro-level 2v2 looks like.

how can you say that? for all youl/we know Liquid may have requested advertisement space beyond what EG where willing to give, or perhaps they wanted more leniant rules on say, showing up late, or ANY OTHER POSSIBILITY. Please don't base your disgust on a team by blaming them for running a tournament the way they want.
Fair enough it might've been a fair request from TL, but you don't know the details so leave EG alone.

Because the less hops, or jumps in a connection the better?
Really, it worked in BW, it works in MANY games, why is SC2 different?

Any possibility of TL hosting a clan league with the proposed server hopping? That would be a win-win for everyone, right?
And on topic, excited to see another league come up that is sure to bring some great games.

Sixjax over liquid? god bless artosis I guess

It would take a hacker about an hour to create a hack that bypass the authentication.
There are plenty of good reasons for wanting LAN, but lets not kid ourselves that any kind of LAN solution wouldn't allow people to play pirate copies on private servers.

Okay I'm really confused here and 100% disappointed in TL's response. EG hosts a clan league with a huge prize pool and allows TL the opportunity to participate, and TL absolutely has the right to ask for accommodations, and EG equally did no wrong declining them. The proper response here would be for TL to participate anyways, because not doing so is passing up a HUGE opportunity. This is a perfect example of cutting off your nose to spite your face. To be upset at the organizers decision is nothing short of asinine. To be offered a position and then decline it due to not having server switching is purely arrogant, there are so many other deserving teams who'd love to have the opportunity to play regardless of circumstance.
I'm very disappointed in TL's decision to abstain participation. I'm also saddened that Tyler won't get to participate because of this when he's a member of TL that doesn't have the privilege of playing in the GSL. They basically screwed him over to make a point, when there is no guarantee of them being invited next time, were I the tournament organizers I'd think twice certainly if they plan on being so fickle.

Somehow it seems like everything is said about the issue of server switching.
So I am just gonna say how excited I am about a team league with a big prize pool. Hopefully we will get great games. And IdrA will be commentating? sweeeeet, if true...

cool. its interesting that they put in 2v2s it should be interesting to see the games that turns out. Also this whole announcement is just awesome :D

2v2. love it! can't wait till this starts
GO FNATIC!

WOW IdrA really dont wanna lose to HuK's Hallus again. Its a shame that EG chooses whats best for them and not whats best for Starcraft.
Its also a Shame they desided not to invite KR teams like oGs / SlayerS / IM / ST / Prime and so on. Well i guess Incontrol needs more money and IdrA needs more money to make his wish of getting back @ Artosis. or they didnt accept to play @ 3am wich is fair enough.
But its really a shame that EG's is breaking the community like this. Well we cant do anything about it as inControl and IdrA will just rage at us.
Well wont be watching this for again its fucked up by EG's NA times wich is unwatchable its not like the GSL' times. wich are EU friendly.

What this really means is that: Blizzard needs to implement LAN latency in SC2. That would solve 100% of these problems :p

Can you remind me how many online EU tournaments have included KR players and have been had games played on KR server? Have you made the same post in every tournament thread? Thanks in advance.

WOW Huk really dont wanna lose to Idras's drops again. Its a shame that TL chooses whats best for them and not whats best for Starcraft.
Its also a Shame they desided not to work with EG, Dignitas, FnaticMSI, Mouz, ROOT, Sixjax, Millenium, and MYM.
Well i guess Liquid doesn't need more money and Tyler won't be able to show his skills to get back @ his doubters or they didnt accept to play @ 3am wich is fair enough.

See what I did there?
There is two sides to every story, both TL and EG made reasonable decisions they thought were best assigning all the blame to any one party is unfair. Hell assigning any blame in this situation isn't needed as both teams just did what they felt was best.
