So what did he do wrong here? why is he getting so much shit?
He did something wrong before, and received his deserved punishment, and that is the end of the story. It is very discriminating of us to ridicule him after he received his punishments.
Exactly. I think it's just this mob mentality surrounding the press, which I imagine would cover Starcraft quite a lot in South Korea.
Say what you like about him and what a bloody idiot he was for throwing away his world class player status like this. He was a phenomenal player and probably a bonjwa in his own right who would have made SlayerS_BoxeR look crap had he peaked even further and stayed on the right side of the law and KeSPA regulations.
Sadly, such phenomenal talent like that had to get caught up in such a significant scandal. Don't get me wrong, Savior is an amazing player but he kinda got what he deserved for throwing games like that.
People say "Oh, but he fell from grace around 2009 - 2010. Well how do you know if that was him declining as a player or throwing matches?
What I was saying in previous posts about whether it would be possible for him to move to SC2. It would seem unlikely. For one, it's a vastly different game to Brood War and you would need a lot of RTS experience and a good amount of practice especially with partners who are also good at the game to hit professional status. No player would be his practice partner if they knew of his past.
Secondly, what Korean team would honestly sign him as a player after the match fixing scandal? None.
And finally, Gretech have upheld the KeSPA lifetime ban in their own leagues. And they are the only e-sports organisation that are actually doing anything SC2 related in Korea, except maybe WCG.
Then there's if he tried to break the foreign scene. There would be a lot of uncertainty around that move i.e. would any foreign team even have the nerve to sign him, would any foreign league even have the nerve to allow him in their league with a (criminal?) conviction to his name?
Bump...I believe Savior actually has his own stream on afreeca now. I know I will get a lot of hate for saying this, but I do not support Savior's decision on this one.

there's an article on this on Fomos. Imma translate it later tonight.
It's sad that it's a lifetime ban, and I hope Savior feels really regretful about this.
Anyway, it would be cool if he could still make money from his stream by still playing BW as long as he plays somewhat close to a relatively high level, which should be no difficulty for him.
I agree with others, he got his punishment, stop hating on him.

THIS!! I really want to see him play~
One would think that he's completely done with sc, though...I mean, he's banned essentially for life, so why does he not just do something else :/ he's getting so much hate, and clearly will not ever get to play competitively again, do why not just move on? Otherwise, it will be hard for him to make a living :x
You cant watch afreeca without being korean or using korean proxy. And as far as i know, even korean proxy doesn't really work anymore (atleast for me it didn't).
Re-stream go go go go.
ps. there is afreeca "how to watch" -guides out there already, even in TL.
I think no matter what, he is never getting back into esports. It is apparent that the people up there in GOM and Kespa don't share the same sentiments as we do and this is where it ends as it has for him when he was found out.
Even if he got back, there will surely be much talk and question about his integrity that it would be hard for him to focus on playing.
its not that simple. Afreeca blocks foreign IP's. To get it working you basically need to find an amazing socks5 proxy, which isn't something that really exists. you can get it working for a few minutes then the proxy dies most of the time, if it works at all. Aparantly if you can get tor working, or do some weird trick where you cut the proxy when afreeca connects you can get it to work. i've never had any luck. You can google "afreeca guide" if you wanna have a go, and if you get it working, make a new one!
