Apparently rules arn't enforced and it's by all done by agreement with players? That in itself seems enough reason to simply not play. I cant imagine trying to get a single game finished without disputing some activation of a card or some guy attempting to summon 5 10star ritual polymerized monsters at once to wtfbbq your life points and then go into a debate about whether he was actually allowed to do that or not.

It's really not that big a deal as long as the community knows what they're doing, which in this case they don't. People on KCVDS are mostly people that don't play irl at all, while if you go on a yugioh forum and find people to yvd with, you'll usually get a reasonable game.
When disputes come up, theres usually the wikia you can link to, or post on the site's rulings forum which has a pretty quick response time.

I actually don't understand you guys, I never played a game where someone didn't know the rules. And wnat's wrong with OTK? It's not the program''s fault, they're following Konami's card formats.

if you ftk, right now people will congratulate you rather than rage as there aren't really any known consistent ftk decks. People are competitive over it just like people are competitive over other stuff, hell, you're posting on a forum that follows competitive video games. How is this different? Theres the spoiled brats in every game, it's not limited to yu-gi-oh. It's actually not that bad in yugioh unless you dislike people who take "children's card games" seriously.

Whiny =/ competitive. Besides this is no different for me, I dont have a problem with it. I can't beat small children IRL and I can't beat people who are morons on the internet so just let the rage go, if someone leaves you win.

So FTK/OTK's are allowed? That's pretty interesting...

Did you have any 1950+ 4star monsters though?

Why wouldn't FTK/OTK be allowed, and what are 1950+ 4stars that are worth using? The only 1950+ I can think of, actually, is Gene something wolf which is a 2000 vanilla

My guess was that he was using Empty Jar., which probably wouldn't have anything above 500 attack

Gene-Warped Werewolf, at 2000 attack. There are no normal 1950 beatsticks. All the others are 1900s or 2000+ beatsticks with drawback effects.

No one likes to play against Burn/Exodia decks because they are annoying. Exodia more so because you're sitting there waiting until their turn ends or they win. Burn because you can't implement the side deck.
Venture Capital is better off spent on lottery tickets rather than investing in E-Sports; you'll get a far better return. The difference is simple: Koreans are tryharding at the game, foreigners are tryharding in real-life.

It was empty jar, and I do have monsters above 500 attack.

i wonder which is more annoying, burn/exodia decks in this or the wall stall decks from pokemon. both are hilarious for tournament play but really bad to play casually/against npcs so you dont get to play them much.

do you guys even play yugioh? exodia decks are completely unviable in 2010... I agree with try net, if there were consistent FTK decks e game would be screwed, Konami would need to make a new ban list, fast... In a real tournament, which there are in KCVDS, a side deck would easily slaughter a stall deck. As most people I see use 5 cards in their side deck for typhoons, divine wraths, and shield crush/noble man.
The theory "crafting" in this thread is annoying, and most people are using their 2005 knowledge only to criticize what is wrong. As mentioned earlier, it takes up to years to master a deck, not a few days of screwing around with decks until you find a "god" deck, which there is no such thing. A forum thread or wiki ruling link would instantly shut down annoying players, which there barely are any.

Apparently clicking the U.S.A. or English flag is a little too advanced for you?

And for those of you having problems with the "rules" system on this horrid game, the one supported by konami has their own up-to-date rules as well as rules that can be modified by the user. User tournaments, konami tournaments, and weekly supported "events" as well as a stable trading environment (mostly). I don't play the game much anymore, but it is a hell of a lot better than this cheap knockoff.

I was more referring to this how to page, it was showing in game japanese.

And yes I clicked the english flag, I have to wait like an hour for this program to download to see if it has in game english, so could you please leave your smart ass remarks for the SC2 forums?

I found some up to date list for bw and x sabers and tried both out, been winning more than losing but the people on the kcvds are also kind of bad, they rage at top decks so its just like a card shop.

you need to pay for it, unless they made major changes in the last 6 months.

Macro is pretty bad right now, too many dead cards. sabers and plants are 2 of the best decks, fish OTK is flying under the radar pretty heavily, with a couple of top players calling it the best deck, but due to a lack of events since the last set it's relatively undetected aside from regional tops. Gravekeepers have an influence, but that will likely fade out.

And for those of you having problems with the "rules" system on this horrid game, the one supported by konami has their own up-to-date rules as well as rules that can be modified by the user. not only do you need to pay for ygo online, but I don't know of a single high level player who plays on that site, hell, I don't know anybody at all who plays on that site. All the high level games online are done through yvd, it's been the standard for years. Rules disputes are easily settled via the wiki or forums. If I wanted to spend more money on cards, I'd spend it on cards I can turn back into money, not this virtual stuff.
