EDIT: Omg wrong section, MODs please move to Sports and games! TY! I know there are some who are still interested in Yugioh out there, but don't play it either due to peer pressure or money, so I decided to show you guys a simple, free way of dueling online! KAIBA CORPORATION VIRTUAL DUELING SYSTEM! (KCVDS) This is a 80mb, simple program that any computer can run. It's easily minimize-able, so it's good for playing fast games, or during times where you're sneak playing from your parents.
Let me show you some features!
![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/W6zLx.jpg) This is the main screen, as the game is still in Beta. There is no ladder, friend system, point system, PMs, etc. You simply join public games and duel, like Brood War Battle.net. There are 2 servers, so ignore Server 1 being down. This is actually a good thing, combining the population of the 2 servers into one, making it easier to find duels.
All TCGs cost money to play, as a standard deck in Yugioh should cost you about $80, while a serious duelist could spend up to $1000 on his entire deck. In this game, you can construct a deck of 40-60 cards with any card you want! Even though this may seem broken, it is simply not. Advanced decks take strategy to use, just like StarCraft. Most players who get deck builds online simply have no idea how to use their decks. Not to mention, this does follow the Traditional and Advanced formatting system, which I will explain later. You can hold 5 decks at a time.
![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/AxLvj.png)
For Spanish speaking players, there is a Spanish server. ]
The lobby is pretty easy to use, as you just simply click a game to join. There is a small chat channel on the bottom right to communicate with certain players, or argue over cards =D. (as you can see in the picture lol)
![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/Fk4ys.jpg)
Going first is simple, as it is based on a Rock Paper Scissor System. Technically it's not first, whoever wins gets to choose first or second, but everyone chooses first.
![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/QtHek.png)
The in game features are pretty obvious, as I will elaborate on specific features after. However, any newbie who knows how Yugioh works should figure this easily.
You can see any card's effect, in case your opponent plays a card you never heard of, or you're double checking something.

Now that I'm done showing you all how this works, I'll elaborate on certain issues.
Hosting/Port Forwarding + Show Spoiler + In-Game Features + Show Spoiler +/coin # -Flip a coin (Heads or Tails) X times e.g. /coin 2 /dice # -Same as the coin, but a 1-6 dice /add # -Add X LifePoints /sub # -Sub X LifePoints Players start out with 8000 LifePoints, however you could ask the opponent to lower/add the default by using the commands above, and if he agrees, great!

I know the website says 0 Online, however it is a bug as the application is still in Beta. If you look at the screenshots, it shows that there are games being hosted. Furthermore, you can also look at the previous announcement.
For new players, the top decks currently are LightSworns, BlackWings, X-Sabers, Six Samurai, Inferinities, etc. X-Sabers are somewhat difficult to use if you're not an experienced player, so I suggest them for later. To be honest, all the forums and blogs say X-Sabers are either broken or top tier, however I have never come across a single one. Also I was hoping for a TeamLiquid KCVDS team, should we keep in contact by Hamachi? Or another program like AIM! Anyways if you're interested, leave your TL ID and KCVDS IGN below! An AIM SN would be nice if you have one! Have fun dueling!

The only thing missing in that application are tokens.

sweet, been looking for some online yugi action that isn't on the DS. The DS games are cool but are so god damn slow the processing is horrid
Cool I'll check this out.
btw, is the metagame still based around power decks? Like how are plant type decks and zombie ones doing? On the DS my plant deck was pretty unbeatable, really strong powerhouses and ones that can summon from your deck. The zombie one was cool because there are a lot of things you can do with it, deck destruction/hand destruction or monster swarming was all possible.

The major plant decks (Debris Hime variants, Quickdraw Dandylion variants) right now are pretty strong, potentially top tier. Zombies as a standalone deck/archetype engine have been dead for a while now, they lost too much (BfDD/Foolish Burial/Mezuki/Allure of Darkness limited, mostly), they don't have consistently explosive graveyard-based swarming anymore. No real reason to play zombies when you can just splash Plaguespreader into whatever deck for consistent synchro access and ditch the rest of the zombie engine.
Also I was under the impression that X-Sabers were considered a pretty scrubby lucksack deck for a while, never really heard anybody say it's a difficult deck to pilot even with Rescue Cat getting banned. Still steals too many games with like, Cold Wave into vomit your entire hand and graveyard onto the field for a billion synchros and then kill them, and if they don't die you strip their entire hand anyways and if they don't topdeck, say, Debris Dragon, you kill them next turn anyways.

I tried to play but in the duel he summoned 3 monsters on his first turn and attacked me ,I was able to draw infinite amount of cards and I could normal summon ritual monsters without using rituals and I was able to do all this during his turn... I don't understand anything o_O

I play this. Max out your extra deck! I think you could use a few fixes for the deck. +1 Monster Reborn (Obvious Staple) +1 Elemental Hero Stratos (D-Hero engine without this card?) +1 Reckless Greed (Either run 3 or none) +1 Tragoedia (Can change level or steal a monster and sync) +1 Destiny Hero Diamond Dude +1 Mystical Space Typhoon +1 Gale (Just a good card) +1 Call of the Haunted +1 Mystic Tomato
-2 Dark Grephers (You don't need that many) -2 Magical Mallet -2 Destiny Hero Plasma -2 Destiny Hero Dasher -1 Burial From A Different Dimension
I think this would make your deck a lot more consistent, though there is no way to return SD/AM back to the deck, could add a PoA/Transmigration Prophecy back into the deck. Personally, if I were to run a SD/AM deck, I would use Flamvell Beast/Magician combo with Rekindling.
X-Sabers are incredibly easy to play once you know all the effects of your cards. Top decks are now Gravekeepers, X-Sabers, Debris and Quickdraw variants, Blackwings, and Gladiator Beasts. Lightsworn lost their luster after the banlist that really nerfed their milling capabilities. Perfect Herald decks are a crapshoot (either they're really good, or get OTKed before setting up the combos). Scraps are up and coming, and I expect players to play more.
@Dorf Rules are not automated, you have to play by the rules manually.

I remember my Yubel deck raping face on this program like a year or 2 ago xD
Good times. The card selection aren't quite as completed and manual actions are a quite a bit more restricted (to the point where certain rules just can't be carried out sometimes, however it's not really that detrimental) compared to YVD, but the interface looks slick and the people working on this are trying quite hard to make it better and better. I remembered when this game was still a buggy POS like some 2 years ago. They had come a long way. I recommend people to give this a try, maybe even have a Teamliquid clan o.O
And someone should play an Exodia turbo on this program lol. Sometime people just ragequit seeing you draw.

Currently, the best zombie deck is a deck of another type with plaguespreader in it lololol.

so it's a cool program a few things I wished it had:
More automated things such as LP changes, special rulings and a lot of other things. Seems like it's really up to the players to determine the rules when some rulings are a bit iffy and hard to understand.
More search options like searching for banned or limited cards. I suppose the description search is pretty decent this way but there is no way to search for banned or limited cards, also no way to search for tuners apparently.
This is all from the perspective of someone who played yugioh on GBA and the DS, it's great how automated those games are and really helps with rulings, card priority, etc.
btw, would be nice to play with some people from TL, no friend system though :X

You should edit intro post. Lightsworn is no longer a top tier (or viable tier) decktype at all.

What rules are you using/format?
There's over 30 One Turn Kills
and ~15 First Turn Kills ( The opponent doesn't even get to play a card )

So most of the decks I've seen are Lightsworns, Infernities, Blackwing/DaD, and GKs. I've come across some Machinas and Cloudians. Plant Synchros I've come across about 3 times. I myself use a Stardust Assault Deck.
|
I think this sounds really cool, I'm definitely gonna take a look. I've always wanted to build a deck yet never had the money. I've always wanted a metal dragon deck because of cards like Power Bond and Future Fusion.
|
I'll try it out. I bought the last 2 DS games, but I don't like how they become outdated the moment it gets released (2010 didn't get Emmersblade, shame!)
I'm a bit outdated. I know X-Sabers, which I built in the 2010 DS game (without Fullhelm, Boggart, Darksoul, Emmersblade so it was bad but still pretty cool) but I don't know any of the new ones that I've heard people talk about (Scraps, Elec)

So, I saw someone with a Bisu name, must be someone from TL?

This game is a great side game, for when you're bored or downloading something, as it doesn't require high bandwidth EDIT: Yes the game is still based on Meta decks, mainly synchros and field swarming.

i played when it first came out, but im too lazy to learn all the new cards =\
