BWCL Season 44Important Information
The Brood War Clan League – BWCL for short – is open for anyone and everyone, except people we don’t like, because they cheated or are total morons. Its the oldest clan league for now, as all our competitors quit and went off to have a life (don’t worry, we’re not even tempted). The BWCL always was and will continue to give players the chance to grab their online friends and have a banter with people from all around the globe. Along your journey, if the test season is an indicator, you’ll make even more friends, have fun and learn a thing or two about the game. Seriously, the test season was great atmosphere wise and we’re sure all people involved will build up on the experience – with cat memes, an updated map pack and so on and so forth.
Most of the things will remain the same way: The league will take place sundays, starting with the 28th of January, time being 17:00 CET. The mode is 3x 1n1 and 1x2n2 – ties are a possibility.
As for the changes: We’re currently testing several third party tools and are probably going for Challonge. No worries, the admins will do the reporting for you, it’s just that we have a stable site until our tech crew comes along with a working script. As soon as we’re having a favourite page, we’ll inform the clan leaders.
At this moment, we also can’t announce how many play days there are. We’re aiming for a minimum of 12 teams for the new season; once we cross that number, we’ll try to fill up a second (or even third) division. Hence, you’ll be looking at a maximum of 11 weeks of BWCL.
There are also some minor changes, such as: no more E-Mails or nasty forum post to submit replays. We’ll have a dedicated Discord channel, where you can simply drag&drop files.
Speaking of Discord: We’re going to use that from now on as official medium – any organiser/Squad leader needs to use the messenger!

Sign Ups
Sadly, the sign up process still has to be done manually. Please submit your line-up (minimum: 6 players) in our forum. The sign ups are open now and will be closed on January the 26th.

Little League
“A learning experience is one of those things that says, ‚You know that thing you just did? Don’t do that.”
We’re also hosting a BWCL version for newcomers and old people who just returned – the Little League. It will work just as the BWCL does, except only players with a MMR of 1900 and lower are accepted. We’d love to have as many new faces as possible and encourage anyone to pick up the game. We desperately need new blood and don’t want to miss out on the chance of providing a suiting battle ground!
Please understand that we won’t accept „professionals“ or „veterans who just want to offrace“ into this league. We’re going to actively check for abuse – don’t even try. Attempts to meddle with the Little League will end in severe punishments, trust us, we know people, people living in Moscow, people with deep souls, strong arms, people who can be paid, people who use knife to test meat, your meat actually, people who know to people who don’t hesitate… and are mainly friendly. But we’re serious: have fun in this league!

Admins wanted

As we have big plans, we’re also going to need people to help us out. We’d like to keep several pages updated, including Liquipedia. Therefore, we could really do with some writers, talented or not, it doesn’t matter. At this point we’d even put a potato-squid hybrid in front of a typewriter, just to get the word out.
