Thanks for the stream Sayle and co. Let's be real. Bisu had a huge 20 supply early on. If he parked 4 goons near his base the muta harass wouldn't have been as effective and he mostly likely wouldn't have done all of those storms on probes because the goons would blunt the muta micro tempo. Even after killing his own probes Bisu eventually recovered thanks to the DT harass. He could've closed this out with pure gateway units and observers if he leveraged his 30 supply lead better. Bisu had 3-4 chances to close out the game but didn't. Oh well, it was fun to watch.
20-30 supply isn't that far a lead against zerg, especially once Lurkers and then swarm come out.

The problem is Bisu couldn't afford to go attack the 4th and 5th of Hero. Had he moved around to try and do it,, Hero would've just done the same thing.

I think Bisu could have easily sniped the 7 o clock expo with the zealot attack early on but he didn't focus the lair.

He had enough forces on the 2nd ridge to divert his main group into the middle, then the middle bottom ridge to the 4th, forcing hero to reposition to defend the 3rd, opening his back-up group of zealots to stream to nat or do a pincer maneuver. Not enough scouting lost him that game.

Thanks for the stream Sayle and co. He could've broken the 4th and 3rd but was trying to bash in the natural with his army. Bought time for hero to econ and take down his expos. Agree, i felt like he has an army lead yet couldn't break into the nat Bisu could've attacked the outer expansions to cripple hero's economy, but instead he felt confident enough to break through the front to destroy hero's tech and main base. Turns out to be a bad call. Hero held well with dark swarm, and teched to ultras for the win. Once hero out-teched Bisu (no corsairs, super late reavers), he had the game won. Maybe Bisu could've broke through the front with more zealots and less goons? There were too many lurkers for zeals to break through imo. I do agree that Bisu should've diverted some units to target the 4th and 3rd. He never had a proper chance to actually try to smash the 4th and 3rd.
It was a back and forth game.
hero did well early on with muta harass to pin Bisu back and delay his expo. Then Bisu managed to out-expand hero and take a superior army lead (but perhaps because hero was teching hard and willing to sacrifice map control).
So did Bisu ever have a lead? If yes, what could he have done to close the game?

No Bisu was overhyped when it came to this finals. The odds were in heros favour.
Even as a Bisu fan I have to admit that in SSL9, hero clearly choked, he should've won it, but hero is not that phenomenal outside of PvZ.
I'd love to get on the hero hype train, but he really does need to up his ZvZ and ZvT
