It's not hard to make an argument for either side of the argument because it's all about how you want to define things. The games level is most certainly lower than it was before. But it doesn't mean the players are putting in less effort, they simply have worse practice settings than they did then. They stick with the game despite the situation, and they're amazing players, so should we take away anything from their accomplishments compared to the progaming era? I don't think these games should be counted as invalid. But sure, they are different.
