Im still a newbie on sc2 but I think FFs are pretty gay. You fight on open spaces. On open spaces, many forcfields are needed to split an army. Yout will also use multipronged attacks to even further increase the surface area. Sentry energy is limited, and once it is used up the protoss army gets much more vunurable. You will often see zerg players approaching the protoss trying to bait forcefields. If the protss waits to long then the army is already on top of him, if he casts to soon the zerg army retreats and the sentry energy is wasted.

Not to mention bad forcefields can mean instant death for protoss in the early stages, which is the reason MC was able to be so much better than his comrades for so long. Other players are catching up, but for a while MC was the only one with perfect forcefields and everyone would go "FF IMBA, SO OP SO GAY!!", only to see someone else try the same and die due to bad FF useage. It's really not as easy as it looks, though perfect FFs are definitely more important vT than vZ

I see Horang2 and the cj team huddling so i think cool, i can watch some BW. but there is no BW. Please someone fill me in. What happened to proleague? It is on suspended sanity mode. Somebody wants us to admit worse is better. At least they have their chance to show SC2 to the fans that are able to compare both games, and let's hope it will kill it. Sorry, I am biased, I've just seen JD.

(I don't say that to be mean lol, but its being discussed everywhere in TL for a while now). The SPL is now a hybrid of Bw/sc2 and next season its going to be full Sc2.

You should watch some vods of the firsts GSL, and remember how awful people and games were back in the days. How many BW B-teamers are now considered best of the bests ? A lot. Give them some time to improve. I can't believe people can make these kind of statements after just a week of proleague.

The problem for him will more be that the other BW zergs seem to have learned SC2 much faster than him. What was seen in WC3 is that the best players from one game might not stay the best in the next. Grubby and Moon were much better than Naniwa, Thorzain, Stephano, but now these players totally outshine them. JD will not have to play GOM players at the moment, but he needs to keep up with the other BW players and Effort is far ahead of him.

I remember in a recent interview he said something about finding back his rookie mindset, maybe SC² will be the key of his comeback. ![]() ![]() However I have been trying my hardest to get back to that mindset. I don't think it's possible for anybody to maintain that mindset indefinitely. However, I will continue to try to go back to that rookie mindset.
