lol the amateurs are owning :D I guess it's because they have practiced the maps like map while the pros don't have much time to prepare for WCG which is not so important to them compared to OSL.

i knew foru was gonna go and i hate it 8[ wcg should use the osl maps so that we can actually see the best of the best at the grand finals. if july doesnt make 4th place this is just second tier players again. =/

I think Xellos is playing for the money. I got this feeling that everytime to get up in the Kespa ratings, he just wins the WCG and his points are skyrocketing, although not doing so great in korean leagues ))
wow foru 2-0 july very surprising, im not disappointed cuz foru sounds like a nice guy from his interview last year but i do hope to see july in the finals... i guess they're not going to release the reps for theses games but i do hope at least there are vods

boxer sucks. how come he's only good at ogn?
how can u say this,u r talking about the best sc player in bw history, the man with the most titles-finals,1.7 years number one in Kespa rankings and most games in progaming scene, maybe sc wouldnt be so big without him,u know that.

He doesn't say boxer sucks. He's refuting the statement the other guy wrote... *sigh*
I am very glad for the results, basically because we will have the defending champion there, as well as a solid P player. Of course I would have liked Pusan going along with forU too, but oh well maybe next time. July still can have his spot if he defeats control tomorrow. Then, it will be the 1st WCG with 1 Korean of each race.
Also really looking forward for forU vs testie II but I think it will take a lot of luck to get that match.
EDIT: If forU can keep defeating Julyzerg, he actually has a chance of winning the whole WCG (supposing July qualifies, and forU's PvT is still deadly).
You guys are really forgetting Control's orignal claim to fame: his lethal TvZ. Control managed to play dead even in his first real game (when he slid into a starleague after Garimto retired) versus the lethal (at the time) ZvT monster Junwi.
Not saying that July is not the big favorite and also my hope because it would be cool seeing him at wcg, but don't rule out control. He came this far and he would love to go further. The fact that he even picks games from an obviosly top shaped Xellos TvT should really say something.

It would fit better with past WCG Korea history if Control > July for 3rd place and goes to Singapore. The perceived best players of each year (besides Boxer in 2001) have always failed to get top 3 at WCG Korea.

Boxer won it two years in a row, no?
Yeah but Boxer had an auto-seed due to being champion from 2001. He didn't need to go through WCG Korea 2002. I was speaking strictly about WCG Korea - not WCG as a whole.

And Control does not only bunker rush that is so ridiculous. Even though I despise oov I don't say he always secretly expands -_-.
Secretly expanding for terran is not such a bad idea, since scvs has a lot of hitpoints and will often make it back if the expo is found, and you'll get the money spent back quickly.
But I agree with some people, I also remember him as the king of the standard cheeses. He wasn't even creative when "cheesing", more like a copycat.

Foru 2-0'd July?
Didn't Foru also 2-0'd July back some time ago when Kingdom 2-0'd Gorush as well on the same day?
Foru is now the only toss player who holds a winning record against July and Nada, two of the best T and Z in the world
forU also 2-0ed iloveoov in the WCG round robin (altho I believe forU has a losing record against Choi overall). forU's been showing some serious mojo this year. May even take a run at another OSL appearance soon.
I actually see a forU/Xellos WCG final. Should be interesting to see, given their respective reputation. It would be nice to see Lee finally win a "major". The guy's done so much for the game.
gratz xellos for winning yet another WCG i suppose...
I was hoping to see July, would be awesome...
If we(non-koreans) dont beat any korean this time again, i think we wont beat them forever...
A decent p and an unstable t (ok xellos is out of league whatever anybody believes)...good prospect for at least recording a victory for non-koreans...

Indeed. The closest thing they've had to a top-pro line-up was in 2002: Boxer (seed) - #1 in korea Yellow - #2 in korea Oddysay - top 10 Junwi - rising star
Although Korea sent its undisputed two best players, Yellow was the only one who actually qualified through WCG korea. On the plus side, the other 2 qualifiers were oddysay, who was a top-10 player at the time, and Junwi, who was rising up and would become a top-10 player the following year.
In terms of top koreans being present, I'd rate the WCGs in this order: 1. WCG 2002 - Boxer, Yellow, Oddysay, Junwi 2. WCG 2004 - Xellos, Midas, Foru 3. WCG 2005 - Xellos, Foru, Control 4. WCG 2001 - Boxer, Gorush, Gundam, Doggi 5. WCG 2003 - Ogogo, Control, HOT (WCGC 2000 excluded)
Silent_Control is damn good? 3:rd in Starleague, losing 2-3 to Reach in semis if I remember correctly.. Its not like its sad or a shame that July lost to him, he is not like Doggi if you think so.

He lost 2-3 to reach, then 2-3 to oov giving him a 4th place.
i haven't seen any of the july vs control games, but i seriously doubt july lost to bunker rush(es). i mean think about it: why in god's name would you lose to a control bunker rush if you can demolish a boxer bunker rush?

no idea why he played like that. =/
yeah.. he really should have destroyed the gates of ForU in game 2.. and pick all the probes from the expo with his mutas,, its gg from there.

Why aren't reps release? Most countries release their WCG qualifier reps. Even though Korea is the favorite to win WCG , it's pretty unfair if Korea keeps the reps to themselves.

Control better than Yellow? Please explain.
this one is easy: silent_control --> bunker rush > yellow

Yellow always seem to lose lately. He was second to boxer and still is. Problem is that boxer isnt nowhere near the top anymore.
But silent control doesnt even compete in the same leagues as yellow does. yellow has 3x the tv wins that control does, and as for the "2nd to boxer" comment, they arent siamese twins when it comes to ranking...
