i was hoping for something a little more advanced and in depth than this.

Is there any type of knowledge you want to know? Since from what I can tell it covers most of what there is to this mu.

just an indepth guide would help. i'm about 2050 MMR right now (B+iccup high) so i know the basics. would just like a tutorial about the details.

That sounds odd to me.
Did you make it to B+ by avoiding ZvZ? you shouldn't have been there, if you don't know your matchups well.

You don't get to B+ by just good "basics" - I've got pretty damn strong basics and never made it bast B (except in 2v2), and not for the lack of trying.

There is no guide anywhere that would raise you from B+ to higher.
You'll have to get yourself strong training partners and watch pros/replays.

Here's a good series on some ZvZ openings, if you want anything more "advanced" you have to study pro replays/fpvods yourself.

do people hotkey zerglings then? That has always interested me, since when I'm playing zerg, I find it hard to hotkey zerglings, if there are too much. And there are other units too. I also rarely watch streams, especially those of zergs, so I don't know.
Usually you focus on more important units, but I usually hotkey a control group as a 'hook' in zvt, for instance. Like, ctrl group 1 would be mutas, 2 lurkers and 3 lings. Circle the lings in behind the force, flank from all angles and crush. Late game with defilers as well, or just quickly in a zvp late game if im looking for an attack and dont have important hotkeys on more important units. So, if I were going to charge at a base with crack lings, id quickly box a few control groups of lings and maneuver them a bit so they dont all line up, then forget about them. A lot of my hotkeys in late game I use just temporarily like that, and I think better players tend to do something similar.

yes. i never played a single zvz on iccup ladder. like many zerg players, i chose terran against zerg.

Yes, especially considering how fragile the zerg units are. I simply was used to having all my 200/200 protoss army 1-5 or 1-6, and then in come the lings with 6 supply per hotkey. Zerg is so different and difficult.

Can someone point me on a good video for muta micro. I thought i remember how to do it correctly but i have trouble doing it. My issue is not stacking or dancing, it's fireing. Sometime the muta don't fire either with H or Patrol.

So i tried doing the attack variant but i'm not as precise anymore and sometimes the muta still decelerate. Is it because of Bnet ? I don't remember having trouble doing this over bnet but that was years ago so i think i just forgot something (or i'm doing it badly).

I don't really think it's bnet because i can do vulture micro just fine

if you make the mutas move to a destination close to them, they will decelerate. so you always have to make them move by clicking a certain distant away. then use h when the mutas are facing towards the unit you want to shoot at, then directly move them away by again clicking a certain distant away from the mutas.

zerglings are hotkeyed as long as there are spare hotkeys that don't have to be spent on more important units. If you're attacking with say, 48 lings and 10 lurkers then people have different ways of solving that problem, for me, I'll usually have 24 lings and 10 lurkers hotkeyed, then I try to position those around the area where I'm anticipating that the battle will happen, then I attack move the other 24 lings towards the same area attempting to control my 3 hotkeyed groups so they end up flanking the group. For all the difficult things in brood war, managing this is surely one of the hardest, and one of the aspects where everybody is the most flawed.

Taking Jealous' advice from the last page, I opened a new thread where I posted some of my replays, including a Prior Analysis of the mistakes that I was able to spot for myself already.

If anyone could have a look at it and give me more constructive criticism, I'd appreciate it

Just coming back to BW after a 10 year hiatus and looking to play some Z.
Are the classics 3 Hat spire -> 5 Hat hydra in ZvP and 3 Hat Muta -> Lurkers in ZvT still what the cool kids are playing today?

Do you guys have any recommendations of what builds I should have a look at?
I mean nobody wants to admit they eat 9 cans of ravioli, but I did and I'm ashamed of myself. The first can doesn't count and then you get to the second, and the third. The fourth and fifth I think I burnt with the blow torch and I just kept eating.

Are there any active channels or clans on US West for a newbie that wants to get better. I am not sure I am active enough to be a commited practice partner, but would like a place to go to look for practice games. I remember playing some games with the sGs group a few years ago that fit that description.

So I was hardcore into watching the pro scene until the death of kespa. Didn't catch up too hard with the afreeca post kespa streaming era although I did watch here and there. Now that remastered has come out I've been binge watching again and I'm gaining my obsession back.

My question is, who's dominating right now? Is there like a loose power rankings or vague top 10 someone can throw at me? Is jaedong still the top zerg? How are effort and soulkey doing? Who are the top protoss players other than bisu at the moment? Seems like flash is still god mode, which terran gives him a run for his money?

Edit: jangbi and fantasy active?

its a notice thats required by law for any game in korea.
the notice basically says that the game is pg-12 and requires parental/guardian supervision for players underage. the notice's age requirement is different per game obviously.
you will also find that while you are playing you will probably see a notice every 1/2/3/4 etc. hours reminding you to take a break from mass gaming. this notice was also required by law
