In ZvP on Fighting Spirit, where should I send my first overlord? And where should I reroute it once it has scouted the first position? :p

any other starting spot, like with all other maps. you could send it towards the centre where the bridge in front of your natural is and then send it in a horizontal/vertical direction so that you have a chance to see where the opponents scout is coming from, but it really doesnt matter.

You could be meta and send it to the bridge to see which direction his probe comes from, but most people send it to the closest natural. That is, if you're top right, you send it bottom right. If you're bottom right, you send it bottom left, and so on.

Once you get there and there's nothing there, depending on where he is you can send it to his bridge in front of his natural, or send it to his main. So let's say I spawn top right, he's bottom left. My first overlord goes to bottom right, my second overlord I send cross position, and my scouting drone goes to top left. When I see he's neither top left nor bottom right, I send my second overlord to his natural bridge, and my first overlord to his main.

Thanks!

New question: is it normal to have larva selection lag? I just started playing zerg and can never press stuff like sd as fast as I'd like because then it skips the d. Any other combinations like 1a2a3a work fine, it's just the larvae.

Edit: I just noticed that there's an animation of the larva icon that plays for a fraction of a second before the actual selection is made. So I guess I found my answer. Must be frustrating at times for good zergs though.

What's can I do off of 1 Gate Core vs Zerg?
Sometimes I think I'm playing PvP and open 1 Gate Core then am like shit its a Zerg player

get a very fast corsair then follow up with reaver. i sometimes do that when off racing as P

After reading Light's Blog Translation and learning about Shift+patrol, I figured I had to ask about the holy grail of Shift commands.
Is there any way to trick the UI into letting vultures queue up mines? Because that would be incredibly useful obviously.

It's a pretty good opening

I think so.

What is known is that probes and drones mine faster than SCVs. Although the liquipedia article states that it has nothing to do with the workers themselves and that "all workers move and accelerate at the same speed", I have my reservations. Isn't it fairly obvious from the animated images that the SCV slows down way earlier when approaching a mineral patch and not just when approaching the CC? Ostensibly from having a shorter "mining range".

Can anyone weigh in on this?
