colosseum is the only one i can think of rotational symmetry is not that common in 4p maps because it leads to positional imbalances
I was asking for equal ground as in both main and natural are low/low or high/high ground...and lots of popular 4player maps are rotational; Fighting Spirit, Dante's Peak, La Mancha, Gemlong, Luna, Sniper Ridge, Jade etc.
er whoops for some reason i was thinking equal ground out of main lol azlea, katrina maybe?
there are some positional imbalances on a lot of older rotational maps, i think newer maps don't really have any issues though but on some of the older maps it's really noticable; like TvP on luna is way easier for T if you're counterclockwise from P since you can just slowpush through your 3rd and siege up their nat

does anybody remember a ZvP from the time around 2007 in a 3 player map, most likely (like 95%) longinus but could also be tau cross, zerg is spawning top left, protoss spawning at bottom. zerg goes for 4 or 5 pool, protoss does some 1 base build i think, the zerg only scouts the bottom natural with his ovi and proceeds to attack the other base with his lings. when the zerg realizes that he attacked the wrong base, he sends the lings to the right base and u see a camera shot at the zerg player who is going like "this cant be true". his lings couldnt do any damage, but the protoss never scouted in the beginning and didnt even know that the zerg went 4 or 5 pool, so he probably assumed it was some sort of 9 pool. in the end, the zerg ended up winning. (it was at least an even game, but i do remember the zerg winning) i searched through various players TLPD which came into my mind, but because of lack of vods, i dont think if i can ever find it again.
This sounds like a game that was on Neo Medusa, I'll start looking into it.
Is 2 rax FE viable in TvP? SO I've tried doing the seige exspand but honestly it seems I cannot pull it off no matter how much I practice it. I tried moving to a bunker expsand Rax ---> Bunker ---> CC but then I become overwhelmed by goons by the time I get my tank out. So maybe if I 2 rax FE no?
overpool speed or 9pool speed most of the time, you can 2hat gas or even 3hat gas depending on spawns though. build your hatches inbase most of the time

how is your siege expand going wrong? are you getting broken before your tank is out? are you losing tanks or something? siege expand is way easier to pull off than 1rax fe
Sauron Zerg is when you have a whole bunch of bases and you just rally units into the other guy's base and nonstop pour units at him. I think it was a JulyZerg game which first coined the term? I forget.
For future reference, it's easier to look up on liquipedia when all you're asking is "what is this strat" http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Sauron_(strategy) Basically macro up and drone hard early game with only enough units to hold off attacks, then when you have a muscly economy get triple upgrades and spam hydra lurker ling -> spam ultra long defiler and a move shit and just overwhelm the Protoss forces

Send us some replays please. We'll help you make siege expand work.

Amm go watch an Idra TSL game and copy paste what he is doing. Now I say IdrA because thats almost the only thing he ever did.

I do not have an unprotected Luna, but if you are willing to download some things you can unprotect it and most other maps yourself.
I downloaded three unprotectors and only could get this one to work: Unprotector 2. I tried it on an older iCCup map, I am assuming it will work on all of them.
Then to open it I had to use Scmdraft2. Supposedly Scmdraft2 has an unprotector built in but I couldn't figure it out. Maybe my antivirus ate some essential files and you can get it to work, idk.
D- Zerg here playing on Fish. I just had a ZvP on Fighting Spirit which I felt like I had but lost. Should have defended my bases better because I was 3 base to his 2. But damn. I really fucked up my engagements and lost many lurkers. The BO I followed was just the overpool opening. After that I pretty much just wing it and try to do what I've seen the TLS Zergs do in the VODs. Just playing by feel I guess and I know my mechanics, build order, and micro need work. But if there is something that I could have done to really seal that game, I would love to know.
What I would really like to know is what I should have done in the situation I was in. I played defensively and waited for hiim to attack, but I still got rolled. Was it right to try and get ultras or should I have gone defilers? How could I have done better with my defenses so that I won? Was my opponent a good player or terribad? Damn if he was terribad, lol what does that make me...
All criticism is good! Please help! Here is the replay.

protoss was about max C-/C probably. overpool is not really a build, just an opening (in zvt/zvp) never just wing a build in zvp, because there are just so many things u can do wrong. if ur playing a macro oriented build, u should first focus on macro and then microing in the macro-free time. u played mass lair style with a sub-par economic build, apart from changing your build or randomly all inning u had nearly no chance to win. please get a zvp build, it will save about 3 years time.
