in pvp, you want to stop pretty damn early. it depends on what your scouting probe revealed and all that (but you should definitely not lose it until he has his first goon. )

anyway I find stopping after about 24 in pvp to be "ideal".
but I could also justify stopping after 20. making 30 probes before exp however, is suicide in pvp against a competent opponent.

to save it for units i guess and since having 30 probes in ur main or 20 gives u the same money in the same time :O .
My hope is one day ARROGANT people will feel the same pain when they talk, as the pain the rest of us feel when we hear them.

never stop except for situations you need to have special things really fast (units mostly ) and situations where there are no or few minerals left to mine

Stoping and starting peon production is just pure feeling with zerg. So hard to know when to stop and when to start.

After 18 workers you start to get diminishing returns, unless you are going to transfer them to another base.

I can't remember if there is much difference between mining like 4 bases with 18 or 6 bases with 12 probes each. And that would depend on the patch number. 18 is the best for 8 patches. Testing it is annoying and it probably won't make that much difference, but if you want a pretty small improvement go and figure this out :p
wtf was that signature

when the terran first starts his push out and starts getting it really going, if he is any good you are going to almost have to stop peons to beat his push (especially if distances are close). i find that its very easy to "over-probe" pvt sometimes, and you definetely dont want to 'never stop'

its just situational for every matchup, but as your competition gets better you will want to stop sometimes.

(that is, until you have way more than enough econ to overpower the terran, then you can let up)

I have no shame, and here's a question to prove it: how do people know when they have 18 workers, as against say 24? They keep count, AND Bamboo rush or whatever? Very impressive, if so.
This is not a quote.

mid isnt really that hard just count :
current suplly - 1 ( if u r making a scv ) - total supply of units beside scvs ( this shouldnt be too hard on the begining ) - number of scvs on gas ( usually 3 :D ) .
and if u play many games with this 18 thing in mind u will be timed for it i guess .
My hope is one day ARROGANT people will feel the same pain when they talk, as the pain the rest of us feel when we hear them.

Review one of your reps. You will see that you aren't making probes non-stop.

Don't stop unless your playing a Great terran who can push at an early time with good macro and micro then you need to stop for extra unit production other wise make enough probes for like 4 - 5 expos

15 at each so around 70 probes or so

of course none of what you mentioned really affects your gameplay at all, because you fucking suck.
