no he wouldnt ... he'd still own, ntt was really unique though, he could afford to build scvs nonstop because of his style ... he expanded so much and so much faster than the protoss that he just played defensive and turtled ... he was pretty much ultimate turtle terran, he'd have 2 facts and 3 cc's ... the reason he was so good is because he could secure those expo's without the p being able to slow or hinder him. from that point its pretty much over unless the p is expanding at just the same rate or does something that kills an expo. ntt can pump scvs non stop and still be damn good because hes ntt ... just remember it that way and dont worry about trying to do it yourself.

Could you elaborate please?

- When you're attacking there is no wrong in stop building Peons. It's easy, you need the money else where. Just be sure that when you're back safe at your base, "Maybe your rush didn't go so well". You must make more peons.
Attack - Less peons more units -

How bout peon stopping for zerg?

for zerg it's even more complicated, because they have even more options
this is what makes me fear zerg so much.. they can just choose to build NOTHING except drones, djeez T_____T!!

so many different styles of playing zerg that you can't really answer this question with them in mind. practice is the only way you're gonna find out what's best for YOU.

wow
Now that it's already up, I'd like to ask a question on the topic. Playing tvz I often find myself with a lack of minerals in-between building a starport, putting up turrets and keeping production running. Obviously I can't delay the turrets any further (though I might be able to cut their numbers as my micro improves). Is it best to delay tech, cut marines, cut scvs or delay the first tank?
|
Unless I know he sucks /his mutas are inexplicably late for some reason I start my fact as soon as marine range, my 3rd rax is started and my +1 attack is started. As soon as my fact starts I stop scvs to get my turrets up, then start again. Your starport should be going up after your turrets so I'm not sure how that fits in but ya, Id say if you need to, for most maps, scvs are the best things to cut first. Mainly because on most maps you stay at 2 base for quite a long time and because you need your tech asap and you need as many marines as possible because even one more marine could be the difference between a live or dead muta.
I could be wrong though, this isn't something I'm positive about(at least not all of it )

As Zerg, I usually make drones whenever I feel like I can afford the larva without dying in the next minute.
