Best of 7 is definitely better particularly for such important matches as semis and finals. Also consider a best of 9 series for something, just to see how much people will whine about that.

Overall I'm happy that they're experimenting with Bo7s, as most matches should be competitive once you get to the higher brackets, and having more games reduces nerves as a factor (maybe?). Most of all I want the progamers to be comfortable and in the zone.

Can you imagine playing 7 super intense 1v1s without breaks? Should allow for a break after game 5 or 6, right?

On the other side, I see people are talking about maps too, and I want to jump into that conversation as well. My example would be like this. Brought 2 popular maps from the previous league: Fighting Spirit, Circuit Breakers 4 new maps: Third World, Transistor, Sparkle, Crossing Fields There will be total 6 maps, winner from the coin flip gets a chance to ban one of the new maps and chooses the new map that will be played twice(1st and 5th game), and loser bans the previous league map(remaining one will be played in the 3rd game). Player A vs Player B Player B won the flip coin, banned Transistor and chose Crossing Fields for 1st and 5th game, Player A banned Circuit Breakers So the series would be like: Crossing Fields, Third World, Fighting Spirit, Sparkle, Crossing Fields. Or we can do vice versa. Winner bans 1 previous map and other previous map will repeat twice, loser bans one of the new maps. But I feel winner banning the previous map doesn't give any advantage so I prefer the first one that I explained.

More games is always better, and fighting spirit is an awesome map. Wow, just wow! hyyype If these guys used to practice 15 hours a day, I'm sure they have enough stamina to play a bo7.

The "not enough stamina" argument is more realistic, but again, these dudes play all day erry day anyways, and having the stamina and focus to stay sharp throughout the course of a potentially grueling series is part of the competition imo. Plus, there's usually a commercial break or two for these longer series, so I'm sure the players would be able to stand up and stretch for a few minutes if they needed to. I think the best argument against Bo7 finals is that it'd make it easier for Flash, especially on this more standard map pool. But yeah, doubt they're gonna change it at this point, so I'm just excited for more BW to watch.

As Said before it has not always been bo5s bo7 was used also for finals What I also like about the bo7s is that If a wins on that map that favours their race there should be more oppertunities in maps to even that score out ( like how you are against the ropes If you lose 1 cheese game than lose game 2 on that map you wanted to veto out or something but could not and you have to play flawless standart from there pretty much cause thats matchpoint 3-0 and youre out.

Just wait a little for the official statements from the players themselves, and perhaps some might even change their minds (impossible for herO, who has imminent military service).

![]() While I think this and some of the other blizz tourneys are a cool initiative and really appreciated, I think we as a community should be extremely cautious and taper our enthusiasm until we see how Blizzard plans to run these tournaments. They are still a company after all and BW history isn't so old that the past can be easily forgotten. Regardless, here's to hoping that Blizzard can make up for their past actions and KSL as flawlessly as possible for years to come!
