based on what?
i dont think so players will play more strategic &mind games if someone pulls a 4 pool vs flash (remember zero v flash ) that is pretty spectaculair. (edit in post kespa ive seen plenty of times in ssl & asl that specific map builds & cheeses are still prepaired ) last one was shine with his bag of builds

Best of Five is the way to go. Has worked well for ASL so far. Still amazed every time BW fans off-hand dismiss something just because it's different. BW is default dead (and I say this as someone who loves the game as much as anyone). We should embrace all reasonable experiments! The potential reward of stumbling upon something that revitalizes interest vastly outweighs the risk. Who knows, maybe something interesting happens in a BO7 context (like a super reverse sweep) that creates a bunch of positive press? BO7 is far from the craziest thing the scene should be trying. Even for those saying "imagine TvT BO7" -- ever watched a triple overtime game in the NBA? It's not pretty but has its own charm once in awhile. Plus, modern TvT is usually extremely dynamic and action packed. More games, more types of crazy maps (especially since players are no longer dependent on league performance to make money, so balance is less important), more experiments, more Brood War of all kinds, are all good things. Maybe learn your history before dismissing BW fans. It is not that we don't like it because it is different but because we already had that experiment in the old pro days and also in the Sonic days and it always got rolled back because the cons simply outweigh the pros.
I've been watching since 2006. I never watched or played any SC2. I remember matches like Larva vs Killer bo7 Sonic finals. But keep making assumptions, please.
Yes I wouldn't choose bo7 by default, but the amount of complaining about this one thing is excessive.

No they're not lol. Before the transition, the last finals that used a Bo7 format was the 2004-2005 YatGK MSL if memory serves me right. (One great finals, GoRush vs NaDa)

Awesome! This is great news! I would like to thank our lord, my mother and Stakka Bo for this joyful news.

For the whole Fighting Spirit subject, it'd be nice if they brought back the map while putting a new twist on it, let's Reverse Fighting Spirit where high ground now becomes low ground.
The new maps, especially Third World, was the highlight of the last ASL (even though many hated it), there has to be a breath of fresh air coming into the competitive scene, maps are the best way to shake things up a bit.

The only reason Third World, Transistor, and Sparkle made it into the ASL was to prevent Flash from winning his 4th ASL in a row. I reckon similar measures might need to be taken down the line, but having standard maps for a change is good.

sure i think the maps where highly creative and even fun (however if you watched every late game T v P on transister & thirdworld of Flash practice matchs you can come up with only one conclusion it it total horror for Terrans carriers are unstoppable duo to the layouts on the semi- island map you did have to start splitting youre army up using dropships just to be able to attack on the other side of the map on transister you would have the hardest time to get a decent attack angle bcause of th bottlenecks and highgrounds (you just cant get close enough) and than you add arbiter & recall stasis in the mix on third world ... that main choke its nearly impossible to move up the choke since only 1 unit can fit through it at the time i can go on and on about the uphill battles terrans would face in late game.
in short those are broken maps. and have no place to stay around unless as said before you want to get terrans kicked out of tournaments that was the design.

Innovation won't be in korea for the offline qualifiers, same for fantasy. They are both competing at hsc:
