How you achieve it is just semantics. In principle, you can also maphack by setting up a camera in your opponent's room, avoiding the need of directly hacking the game. You are still cheating.
Blizzard offers what they offer. SC BW will be hard to play. That's why it is more fun than SC2 by far. I don't see the issue, as SC BW has always been much much easier to learn than SC2. Easier to just install with no knowledge of games at all, and instantly start playing. And easier to learn in the sense that there is much more to improve upon, so learning more and improving is easy.

That example requires you to have physical access of your opponent's play area, unlikely to be the case.
Unless someone stands behind you and physically confirms that you are not motioning to classic hotkey locations, there is no current way to tell.

THATS the problem, i aint wanna have stress anymore i aint 20 anymore i would play again with decent hotkeys but its not rly worth the effort to play without

And that makes cheating not cheating, how?

Ok, so if you don't get caught, it is not cheating? So have you ever been caught maphacking?

I was planning on programming the left key to «1» and the right key to «a».

Look, my point is this: I have to wonder whether people are using OS or Keyboard Hardware rebinding because they don't have a KeSPA agent behind them. I would rather know I am getting defeated by my opponents who are using the same tools as me, not getting crushed because I'm too noble to use an OS or Hardware rebinding when they don't care about that noble virtue.
I just want the ladder to be as transparent as possible, and seeing as how there is no way to detect client side OS or Hardware rebinding, just put it in the game.

How is that suppose to work? even no hotkeys options in 2017, man I see no reasons for newcommers to occur, it's exatly the same 1.16. All that hype lol

blueslobster, so you response to the promotion of cheating is to make a joke out of it?

From my perspective, cheating is anything that views/modifies game files in ways the designers didn't include. Otherwise it is a limitation imposed by (tournament) organizers, not game designers.

Playing BW is a work out. Start jogging, do some finger exercises, eat egg whites, listen to the rocky soundtrack.. im hitting the gym 4 times a week now so i can play BW efficiently.

Then go back to SC2 or other of your effortless games, simple like that, right?
Seriously people, if little things like this make you to not want to play the game, dont play the game.

After all your working out and jogging, you might get stomped on the ladder. Then remember these words "I wonder if he had the balls to rebind his keys with OS or hardware".
|
but you'd still get all the gurlz, win win

I still get the OpenGL error, can't even launch it lol.

If you don't want stress hit the money maps 4v4 bro, 1v1 starcraft is like the most stressful thing you can play

So if there is a bnet ladder and ladder positions decide who gets a spot in a real tournament with the more elaborate rules against cheating, then it is not cheating if I pay my opponent to lose on purpose 'because you didn't change the game files', so I get the no.1 spot. But when I do the same thing inside the Kespa tournament, it is cheating?
In the same way, key rebinding in some software layer is completely legal, as it doesn't modify the game files or game state. But doing the exact same key rebinding in another software layer, namely the game files, is cheating?

Those people saying that it's harder to play with default keys and thus it's better and more fun than in sc2 are hillarious. How is that harder? it's just uncomfortable. Why don't you just play without keyboard at all? its harder than using the noobie keyboard hotkeys and more fun and skilled, lmao

cmon calling SC2 effortless is kinda stupid. I Love both games but going back to Broodwar you are fighting more against the game itself and clunky engine than anything else, feels pretty outdated. Still love it anyway.
