getting the 5 korean star players+babino to come all the way to Nanjing China booking the cultural center+logistics 5star hotel stay is not cheap
Lets hope it will draw some attention for reasons other than prizepool
whoa, current top 3 BW players +sexy dances not enough for you? should be grateful that there are people outside of Korea that still want to host a big offline BW tournament at this day and age.

this event, like the previous 2014 sino-korean carnival was hosted and done primarily for the Chinese community in the first place. savvy?
if you think the prizepool is shit and/or the event needs more outside "attention", rather than nitpicking from an armchair you can always contact and liase with the organizers to chip in $ or any other effort you can do. organizers with their hands already full would definitely appreciate it. this event would not be possible without the fans at all.

This x 1000. It's "enough" for you, but don't say it's "enough" for the "tiny foreign community." Regardless of prize pool or anything, the PLAY will be top-level thanks to the communication and cooperation between the Korean-Chinese scenes and the fact that we get to see our favorite S and A class players from 2011 play in a "defunct" gaming in 2016. Do you not realize the significance of that, EmKey? This is not "enough" for most of us; this is HUGE. This is an offline event that many have been gasping for. Even if it doesn't bring in any new interest, this is an important event for all of us. Do not diminish what has been done by organizers, fans, and players in order to have this happen.
I can only forgive the person who says prize pool is laughable if he is russian DotA donating kid who never witnessed the real deal esports. C'mon, any pool higher than 1k$ in post KeSPA scene is as important as Dreamhack at least.
A larger prize-pool would be nice, but then again, one of the biggest incentives of having a large prize pool is to bring big-name players to the tournament. And since they are clearly willing to do it anyway (I'm guessing they are still being paid or having their flights paid? idk), it's pretty great.
Can anyone actually complain about this when it has THOSE PLAYERS?!! :|

AFAIK everytime Movie attends Chinese tournament he seems on fire. Back then when he got eliminated from SSL ppl joked that he practiced hard for C-OSL.
Hoping to see some good games and see what level the Chinese players are currently at! Can't believe anyone is grumbling about the prizepool ,it's a huge incentive for the Chinese players and the Koreans obviously are already receiving something plus free hotel and flights, so it's just added incentive! Really wish there wasn't the great firewall of lag so we could game with the Chinese players more ourselves!
Does someone really watch tournaments becouse of the price pool?
Well anyways, offline event in a nice looking stage and top three players of the three races (except zero is the real top1 zerg always), this should be awesome. Hoping for epic Bisu vs Flash finals! Or Bisu vs Effort! Or Flash vs Effort! The odds for my wishes should be good.
Fengzi went 2-1 in ZvZ against EffOrt in a sponsored showmatch a few weeks ago. With BO1 group stage there is a good chance for upsets (Fengzi and Zhanhun at least)
GREAT NEWS!!!! LONG LIVE CHINESE DOLLAR!!!!!!!!!!!
Like this morning I realised that if juan was to set free value of theirr currency it would mean trouble only for U.S.A. rest of the world would be just fine so there's nothing to be afraid for us, but in my opinion stabilization is more important than wealth so chiinese governemnt people should do not make this step, long live MOLVANIA
1) piano is not coming. so its just flash, bisu, effort, movie for confirmed guests his 1v1 spot is taken by 334 and theres some shuffling of matchups (to avoid all mirrors...)
movie vs zhanhun flash vs leilei bisu vs fengzi effort vs 334
2) 2nd day venue is a (bigger) netcafe at 2nd floor of 37 ke xiang alley, qinhuai, nanjing
3) admission is free exception is the commemorative evening event, where tickets are at 300 RMB (free for high school students and below)
A little behind the scenes footage with Movie and DHD member Donghai at the broadcast studio @9:12 snazzy graphics of players @11:38 trophy @11:57 broadcast studio

It forces early zerglings and has become more common as an opener. It also allows for faster tech up to stargate. I would say its a meta shift allowed by maps that don't pigeon hole protoss into forge expand.
where are the replays? Havent been following the scene for a while and omg flash is playing O_O !! Im thinking of taking bw up again hahaha. Dont we love it Yea coz the vods have been taken off youtube.. some pookunts couldnt handle Flash games that are this recent. bagahaha
