It's a damn gaming server. Foreigners come and they're able to type "E game" you know. Best of the best would even remember the korean spelling of FS (sarcasm). This update is just plain stupid. It's not even like Fish was infested with foreigners, there ain't that many.
ps: also lmao at Scan trying to defend this after pretending to be a foreigner specifically to be able to pillage the first few TLCs.

so you need to know to korean to play ONEvsONE starcraft now? if i dont know a word i can only sit there and stare at the screen with the 4workers and town hall?
memester like you probably don't understand that competitive fields like BW transcend the boundaries of languages where the only communication IS BEING ABLE TO PLAY WELL. that should be the only barrier of entry into the server, if the server wants to be taken seriously

Server, not game. I'm talking about the whole entire server. It was meant for Korean players, foreigners were never welcome to begin with. This xenophobia, even if true, is completely justified because foreigners are not supposed to be there. Everything is in Korean.
Fish was constructed under the impression that only Koreans would play it.

My opinion about this: These changes are implemented because koreans are, how must I say, afraid of foreigner influence. Just look what happened to SC2: WCS, map pool, patches, etc. - 90% of everything is done by influence of non-korean people. Blizzard already announced their patches to old games and BW should be next. They just don't wanna let others there because they think foreigners gonna start whine, then command and force changes.

I'd like to say again, even though I truly enjoy Jealous/Solar- battle, that I'm still riding with my korean friend(s) original statement:
Phone verification will be only for special benefits and won't really affect foreigners.

It's Apr 2 in Korea now. New season reset/these changes were supposed to happen by now... And nothing's changed.

It was. Thousands of accounts for smurfing are created every week. Melee is a disaster because of it and getting into ladder is ten times harder than it should be.

I still want to know who you are and why you act like you're a fish authority. Not to mention, I can just tell you're not good at BW either so you're not justified to speak on any basis... Except the fact that you're korean so you think you're an authority on this matter. At least when Scan tells us something, he has that reputation so people can more openly take his word for it.
