Hello guyz o/
UPDATE: Thx to Forcewater, Mist 1.0 and 1.0 obs is now available so i just update it here:
If someone from admin staff can update the TLPD infos and DL of the map ?¿

We tryed to find the new map Mist (SSL9 etc) with obs mode but we couldnt find any, so basically we ended up doing it ourself (all credits to nG.GouGou). And wanted to share it with those who are interested.

Here is the LP of the map: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Mist
It seems i cannot edit the header in the top right to add it as a downloadable obs version, if someone can do it feel free to =P (if it's allowed etc).
We don't own the map, and no credits was edited. But i have no idea about map policy, so if its a problem that we want to share it feel free to close that thread.
If you guyz have the Mist 1.0 version of the map we would be glad to turn it into obs mode also, i couldn't find the 1.0 on fish map list or anywhere.
Edit: we are far from experienced map maker, so if you found bug related to our work feel free to explain =P

I dunno why but I read the thread title wrong, I was thinking this was so program called Mist that gave a new type of observer mode, stupid me.....
Cool addition though! I will def. try this, Obs maps are great.

What was the problem with the map in SSL9 that caused it to be removed (and was it just after the first series)?

The minerals disappeared at the 6 o'clock base.

As far as I know, 1.0 fixed the problem. I haven't tested those files properly though.

Cool, i update the OP with both 1.0 and 1.0 obs. Thx alot once again.

I cannot speak for Earthattack personally, of course, but in general mappers are happy if they get credited (i.e. that their name is in the description) and otherwise happy if their maps are played (should also be clear that you should not modify anything with bad intentions, though people who want to cheat probably wouldn't care...).
Hey, thanks (also on behalf of ICCup, Birdserver and any one running a torunament in the near future, I daresay), this is great. Mind sharing were you got this?

The mineral that disapear at 6 o'clock bug still happen in 1.0 or thats why it was updated from 0.9 to 1.0 ? Here's what happened: 0.9 version has no disappearing minerals. But some problems (badly mining minerals, lack of ovis spots at the nats), which were fixed (to some extend, at least) in version 1.0. But due to sloppy editing and lack of testing the map used on the first day of SSL9 (which was already version 1.0) had some minerals missing. This was fixed after that. I assume this is the fixed version.

|
The game being 16 years old doesn't change the fact that the creator of the may not want his map modified and distributed without his permission. Maybe if the map itself was 16 years old and the creator wasn't around anymore, but it's still best to be aware that there are rare cases where the creator has imposed restrictions upon such things.

It's a simple matter of respect to ask such question =P

I made a picture of the updated version:

I'd also suggest that you ask an admin to update the thread title to something along the lines of "Mist 1.00 download".

Why are you so awesome freakling?
Gif is seriously cool

Yeah, I'm such a newbie with GIFs, what did you use for that? (It'll be very, very simple to do, I'm sure) When I've previously been told sites for it, they always come out terribly. :/

Don't use some shady sites. Use SCMDraft and GIMP.
