If MLG's are dominated by only koreans, will the international community lose interest? Well just imagine the work ethnics and the hand eye co-ordination of MVP, MC, and Nestea. Well now you got 100 more of them. The ONLY thing that got me excited about this switch is that I can fucking cheer for Huk in the face of adversity for 'national pride' (the true North and Free shiz) but now I am not even so sure about that anymore. I guess I can go like "yeah my favourite guys are pwning scrubs from left and right. That just won't be satisfying enough...

I hope Kespa understands that. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Premier_Tournaments There's a lot more than just MLG and Dreamhack, even before adding in the bw pro switch. It's been common to have a major event every weekend, lack of content is not a problem. There's a lot of hate on SC2 in this thread, some of the replies seem to show that people saw some sc2 in beta, didn't like it, and are still judging the game based on that. It's not deathball vs deathball anymore, few builds involve 1 basing, there's a good mix of macro games and punishing greed. Yes Colossus are boring, but most good 'toss use storm and archon these days anyway. And Terran often play mech. Saying things like "T always play bio and it's boring" shows that the commenter has outdated game knowledge. Watch some GSL Code S, or the finals day of any MLG such as DRG vs MKP, the metagame is getting really good and will only improve with the added versatility HotS units will add. Yes the game isn't as mature as bw yet, but why not help it get there instead of bashing it?

If this somehow doesn't work out, I'll give up on watching Proleague. Forcing my favourite players to switch to SC2 does not force me to watch SC2.

There are streamed/casted LANs pretty much every weekend and major live tournaments at least twice a month. SC2 doesn't suffer from a lack of live events.

MLG Dreamhack NASL IPL Iron Squid Assembly Homestory Cup IEM Team league GSTL NASTL IPTL/IGN TAC KSL If anything, SC2 has too many tournaments, more than the scene can support. Same logic. Some people like the games, then the players. Of course, some people like the game before the players, but then again, some other people like the players/teams, then the games. KeSPA is basically making a huge gamble in assuming that enough people are fans of the players and teams first to make this entire endeavor sustainable in the long run. It is entirely possible that they might be right, but it is also likely that they could also be wrong.

Parting has been playing very greedy, which has allowed P to have very strong late games. MVP punished him for that, it's the metagame evolving, the very thing that has always made starcraft an amazing dynamic game. This comment is perfectly representative of what I see a lot of, trying to judge the entire game/community by a very small sample size. If a SC2 fan who had never watched BW before decided to give it a chance, saw two mediocre sets, and judged BW to be a terrible game based on that, what would you say? That is what you're doing to SC2.

I didn't really care that people were getting better at the game because it still wasn't exciting and I honestly don't ever see it becoming excitng.
