Players will have to play *both* bw and sc2? I'd rather see them switch completely to sc2, or stay with bw for one more season.
Nevertheless, still interested in how the top bw players will do in sc2.

I'm assuming you're being sarcastic, but just in case, this is just a way to usurp the BW fans to the sc2 scene. Blizzard doesn't give a fuck about BW, they just want money They haven't cared about BW for a long time. Shame on them for being a company tt

It will be fun to play against him. However, I’ve seen recent articles about Starcraft 1-Starcraft 2 running in parallel. Frankly, the two games running in parallel is too hard on progamers. I’ve played Starcraft 1 from time to time as a Starcraft 2 gamer and it feels way too different. I regret the fact that Starcraft 1 gamers have to play two games at once. I think the people who decided this were too selfish. They didn’t consider the players at all. This is true, yet BW pros doesn't seem to whine about it at all so far. We'll what will happen, but I think that it will only slow their progress in SC2 and make them maybe a little, little bit worse in BW. Only good from this decision is that the BW community will have a smoother switch to SC2, so the game will gain much, much more fans. With a crowd of BW fans joining the SC2 community, we might finally get at ahead of LoL in viewer numbers :D What makes you think BW fans are going to watch SC2? Because of being fans of the players and not solely the game yup and the most famous people (boxer nada) alrdy made the switch. so? didnt help SC2 that much either. was HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE when they first played but after that it all just went *meh* whatever.

What really baffles me is KeSPA was supposed to help bring more legitimacy to the scene in Korea and what did they do? They decided to go ahead with a nonsensical format. I wonder why the media didn't poke and prode for more answers.

I guess it's to make sure that not only the players are warmed up, but the fans aswell. From what they're doing, which is pretty weird in a competitive stance, makes sense when considering that they need to make sure that the fans don't just stop watching.

I highly doubt it will run this way for more than one or two seasons. I mean imagine you're in their position (ie. you want to transition to SC2 but your fanbase still is BW) - this seems like the best way to go about it.

Unfortunately it's jsut not good vs. Protoss. Maybe HOTS will help. Battle hellions more beefy vs, zealots, Warhound (anti-mech) if it gets back in... Also, KeSPA could use the English Client when HOTS comes out. Multi-language support is one of the HOTS features.

It's not the be all end all and there are certainly other methods they could have used as I've mentioned many times in several different threads. It's very short-sighted. The only good news is we will only have to deal with it for a season. Seasons are long. But, when it's over. It will be over.
