So, many of you probably heard about the Skype calls during Brood War events. This has now been changed to Teamspeak since it will make it easier for everyone to join and have fun! I make this post to avoid confusion and try to make as many people as possible join!
Every time there is a Brood War tournament stream(Proleague, MSL etc.) we will join TLs Teamspeak channel and join the channel "Tournament Stream Chat (Brood War)".
If you don't have Teamspeak, get it!
It's free, and easy to set up.
Just press Teamspeak in the lower left part of the TL forum:
If you already have Teamspeak installed it will connect you, if not then you will get a link to download it. It takes 2 minutes to download and install. After you've installed it, press again and you will log in and join the lobby. From there just double click or drag your name to "Tournament Stream Chat (Brood War)".
It's SKT vs KT and MBC vs Hite in 30 minutes! Who's joining?

18 people including myself in channel. I have to say this was a great idea. Really awesome to see the bw community coming together like this. and its cool to auctally get to know a litte more about the community this way as well.

Well I play SC2 but a bit of BW sometimes and I thought I would just show my mug on there, was pretty funny especially when I remembered about Jewbacca, and then the FFA melee game with me and buddha, all I did was make scvs and we won! :d

yeah. About a week ago there was a few problems with the language used. Hence why I don't go that often.
Thats i think is one issue thats needs solving. Language should be kept clean for all involved. Since what one person may find funny, another might find offensive.

Yeah since my knowledge of the pro scene and the game in general is still only frivolous I just enjoyed listening to the guys that actually know what's up. Since AFAIK noone is shoutcasting these matches live it's better than just a bunch of korean guys blabbering. So if anyone wants to try and shoutcast these matches over TS I'll be sure to check that out. I actually learned quite a lot today -]

I dont get why ppl would want to do this sort of thing. Unless of course its using teamspeak to listen to high level commentary.. your just forcing yourself to endure endless amounts of nonsense like:
"Bisu sux vs terran" or "baby is one of the best terrans atm" or "kal is good at starcraft" or "omg this zvz is going hive tech... action is gonna destroy the other zerg".
Well that's atleast what the stream chats is usually loaded with. Maybe I shouldn't write this off until I try it. Course it would prolly piss my roomates off at 4 am

It's not about high level commentary, but having fun with friends while watching the game. Do you only visit friends and drink beer and watch football if they give you high level commentary and analysis of the game? Teamspeak during events is so much fun :D

I do at times yes, it's fun and cosy, get together around what you care about especially with which enhances my experience lol

I could too, but it's at 11 in the morning for me, so it's not really suitable I think. I would definitely drink a beer or two while watching replays or VODs with friends in the evening though. I don't see how that's so strange.
