Hes fucking forgg he wasn't gonna win msl, hes looking for the big bucks in sc2 where nothing but low b-team scrubs and mvp play, if he practices hard enough he will roll everyone! I doubt he'd even do well in SC2. While he's good at building lots of shit and throwing them at his opponent, he doesn't strike me as a player who is good enough at positioning units to actually win a SC2 tournament. In fact the only time he was really successful was during the Arena MSL. Otherwise he won games fairly frequently for Oz but wasn't all that great. His TvT was always eeeeehhh, his TvZ was great statistically not because he was amazing at all aspects on it but was able to crush zergs before they could get the ball going, and his TvP collapsed when they figured out how to block the typical timing attack.

I know you're trying hard to be sarcastic but Forgg for the most part was KT's 2nd Ace player and vice-captain. Zergbong did indeed suck in BW. Hardly worth a comparison, even a sarcastic one.

My point being that if Zergbong who sucked at BW became Nestea then ForGG who was actually good/decent A teamer at BW should be expected to preform well or even better. Yeah I randomly chose Zergbong and didn't know he was Nestea. K. ![]() Definitely some romanians in the thread ![]()

SC2 skill ceiling is too low So I wouldn't be surprised if MVP/IrOn/Zergbong take games off him.

That being said, it should be really interesting to see how seriously he takes SC2. The game is so different that if you don't put in enough effort, no amount of skill can automatically make you win tournaments, as exhibited by Geumchi half-heartedly trying out SC2 only to not qualify for the GSL. It should be really exciting to see how a player of this caliber does at SC2 if he takes it seriously.

I hope this doesn't turn into a SC1 vs SC2 debate because honestly it's so dull both sides just use the same argument over and over and i'm really tired of sifting through it. forGG's playstyle may seem like it fits well with sc2, but in reality his playstyle came about from a deep understanding of the game and it's timings, something that no one has in SC2 and that no one will have for quite some time, and THAT is the reason that forGG will be pretty unsuccessful in SC2, at least until everyone else has the same opportunity as him. Zergbong was kind of a weird case in Starcraft 1, where he planned and practiced solely for 2v2, and thenwhen it was removed he was like, um i have the mechanics for 1v1 but little of the knowledge and he sucked, and in SC2 as nestea, he has the same knowledge as everyone else (if not more) and still the mechanics to keep up, and so he is doing well. Nestea was not a Terrible BW player, he was a Terrible 1v1 player because he didn't know what to do. It's an inverse to how i'm a terrible BW player, i know what to do from watching so many pro games, i just don't have the mechanics to do most of it. Pretty much the intelligent and creative SC1 players will do the best in Sc2, where the Sc1 players whose big ability was perfect macro and godly APM will suffer because of the lack of things to do with that APM and more things to do with your mind. they will likely focus on the wrong aspect of the game. EDIT: not to mention that JulyZerg one of the best SC1 players to switch is struggling to keep up with warcraft 3 players Moon and Lyn, as well as a dozen other B teamers and randoms, because he focused too much on his mechanics in sc2 and he seems to lack the strategy and knowledge of his own race now. (he doesn't spread creep at all, which is integral to zerg)

I don't know if you've ever played BW, but it really DOESN'T focus on mechanics as much as you SC2 players think.

I don't know if you've ever played BW, but it really DOESN'T focus on mechanics as much as you SC2 players think. I have. And i know it's not who can push the most buttons. but because of how developed the strategy and insight in BW is, there were three ways a BW player can stand out and succeed. Mechanics (by being that miniscule bit better edges you out numerous small advantages), Intelligence (making good decision as any given time gives you medium size advantages) Knowledge (ability to cut a worker, or move it around, or change something slightly knowing the exact effect it will have, as well as knowing best possible options at any given time) Generally very few players won by mechanics in pro games, mostly the last two that gave BW players their dominance. but the creativity is a trait very few progamers exhibited regularly. and it's creativity thats needed in the formative years of a game, like sc2 is in. thats all, pretty much mechanics and knowledge won't transfer over the same way into SC2, and so intelligence and creativity are the best ways to succeed in sc2 based on the skillsets of BW. Now this is my opinion, and i'm kind of a big BW fan and been watching pro games for a long time, though not as long as alot of you guys. EDIT: i always do a very poor job explaining my meaning the first few times i explain something, i can try again if you still don't understand what i'm trying to say.

So of course he's going to struggle compared to full-time progamers. Do you seriously think he doesn't know he needs to spread creep etc?
