The larger new maps in GSTL are really showing that macro based play in SC2 is possible if the map is large enough to nullify one-base pushes and cheap all-ins. Anyways, hopefully the SC2 forGG will redefine and revolutionize timing attacks in SC2. Perhaps he is a worthy competitor against MVP.
I wrote it kinda wierd, what i meant was that the timing attacs and stuff. Youre absolutley correct that they should matter less with bigger maps.

Man , we need official confirmation probably. Basically what ret said was just " i think ForGG started playing" or something like that.
Would be funny if he actually read the TL thread and saw some people speculating that he is going sc2 and mention it in SOTG without much though because he was basically just winging the podcast.
Of coure it could be that he knows exactly and met him on the ladder before and something but seems unlikely that there are no Korean sources if he indeed had made the switch.

ForGG has always been one of my favourite players to watch and that fact that he is switching to SC2 if he feels he struggles too hard with SC:BW is IMHO a good thing. Looking forward to see probably the best SC:BW-player right now (or at least in recent memory) that switched to SC2.

There's been no confirmation of him switching to SC2 (only one source and that's just a rumor), and he definately wasn't the best bw player, especially nowadays.

but i dont believe that forGG would switch. he just doesnt fit on any of the sc2 teams except maybe IM and IM needs only a good protoss.

Well I can only imagine something like Lucifer from FOX makes a switch from BW to SC2, then stomp the crap out of the competition there, and then each version will have a Lee Young Ho.

Why wouldn't he at least finish the round/MSL first? Even great could make the finals.
:\ From what I've seen, the main reason for his decision was not SC2 but probably something more personal, like family problems or personal problems with the team or maybe even personal issues with living the life of a progamer. Perhaps, like Guemchi, his desire to continue playing after a bit of "soul searching" led him to SC2, since his retirement would make it a bit difficult to immediately return to BW. Then again, his SC2 "career" is nothing more than a rumor so far, with the most solid piece of evidence being Ret's one statement on SoTG.
What did Ret say exactly ? I don't watch SoTG .

I've been trying to find a source about him switching to SC2... Can't find one. Is this just speculation?

Nothing more, nothing less. It was just that one sentence that is the source off all these rumors about ForGG switching over, so there really aren't any more solid sources right now.

What's the equivalent of a 2fac in SC2? >_>

Same thing, really, though it includes more marines in SC2. Or used to, back when it was popular.

perhaps that is the exact reason behind his decision?

Against protoss: 3 barracks, 2 reactor'd, 1 tech lab, make stim with tech lab, hide marauders and excess marines, make marines with 2 reactor'd barracks and do a very strong push when stim is done.
