also wow strats back then were... almost the same, yet so different (defilers? lawl... and muta stack didn't exist).
but infesting the cc = baller move
you're joking? muta stacking did exist in 2005, and as far back as 2003 or 2004. every trick you see in bw has been around forever, it's just that people didn't know how to utilize them in gameplay, or just didn't emphasize them in general.
also, dnno what's so funny about the consistency of strats being used. really.

muta stacking back then though relied only on mineral-clicking. no one knew how to "perfectly" stack them until 2006.
also, wasn't july really well-known for being the "only" zerg who could actually micro mutas well before the overlord trick was discovered? such as how he micro'd vs goodfriend in their OSL final. he didnt use the overlord trick at all but it was still very close to modern muta micro (becuase of his INSANE control).
Liquipedia says there's been 2 games where a neutral CC has been infested. I recall a recent Jaedong vs. Light semifinal where Jaedong was clearly pissed. Infested CC's are sort of a bad manner-ish thing, but not really.
LOL, light looked like he was gonna cry when the second CC was infested.

It was first used on live TV when July used the overlord trick to rape Xellos( i think?) until then it was just a move onto minerals then try to keep them stacked as best you could(this was in 2006 i think someone said)

That game is really epic.
Is there any video of that match without that commentator? My ears hurt from that extremely annoying voice
Thanks for everyone else for providing those videos, I appreciate that

It definitely didn't start on that game because the commentators talk about how Hwasin shouldn't have been shaken so much by the mutalisks because Terran players have gotten used to muta micro by the time (insinuating that the modern muta stacking has been something common for a period of time already).
Zero vs Kal was some really sick use of infested terrans on holy world. However, JD vs Light was just ruthless, you should have seen how pissed JD looked, and how Light was mentally beaten after the two infested CC
