Legend was a progamer for SKT1, he's no random scrub. Also your not mentioning how he beat Tossgirl, Julyzerg, and Bogus, and went 2-3 vs By.Trap.

Legend's dweb play against Tossgirl was the best game.

I don't think so. I want to say Legend just did a lot better than people would expect him to.

edit; Lots of posts entered before I submitted mine..

This also has a lot to do with it. He did beat Julyzerg and played an amazing series with Trap. Against Trap he was even up 2-0 at one point. Just couldn't take down a third game.

Chinese players actually do pretty good against Koreans if they play their A game.

Tossgirl got HUMILIATED by Legend with D-Web! I wonder if D-Web can become a standard after that game!

Hey, DWeb does have its advantages when compared with Stasis, which has a relatively similar function when it comes to breaking terran defense lines. It's not merely a humiliation tactic, although I do suspect being up 1-0 might have contributed to Legend being comfortable enough to use it against a pro.

Sure DWeb costs a little big more energy than Stasis and doesn't last quite as long, but it still takes a clump of siege tanks out of commission, and better yet, the things affected by DWeb don't become an invincible wall blocking for the units behind them. It's true the tanks can unsiege and move but even then the main purpose is accomplished. Plus Sairs are so much cheaper in gas than Arbiters, though of course they don't provide any cloaking nor have the Recall option either.

Thanks for locating and mirroring the reps.

thanks for the reps ^^

Not surprised at all that Bogus and Tossgirl lost to Legend though. Of all the mu where a foreigner/non pro actually takes down a pro is usually pvt. It is the only mu which consistently t pros lost. Account that with the fact that the Stx team wasn't playing in the environment they are most comfortable with and how Chinese players have consistently taken games off of pros.

Though July losing is a huge surprise.

Actually his series vs Legend wasn't what I would call "rape". Started out that way in the first game (with that awesome harass) till it hit the midgame, and his micro got beyond pathetic. He only won it because Legend wasn't ready for the crackling doomdrop. Game 2 wasn't even really a game, Legend fucked it up before it could start so I can't give July credit there.

July's multi-group control just wasn't there.. too used for SC2's group selection imo.
I'm going to sleep, let me get some of that carpet.

Just watched Lx vs July. Second game, July could've had it but Lx's decision to attack the 9 o clock expo was SOO good when Mutalisk arrived at his base and Lx's storms were pretty amazing.

holy shit i just saw legend's corsair dweb play, tossgirl was on even bases throughout the game and you could say she was even ahead (same base count, similar factory count, similar supply count, better weapon and armor upgrades)

and then at the critical dweb battle in the middle of the map, tossgirls supply went to 200 to 137, and legend went from 200 to 177

Yeah, except that if you chose Idra, there is an additional rule which says that if you lose, you can also punch your opponent.

Then you could always: I choose you, IdrA ... and it would be always win/win situation
