Hwasin's teammate threw the game, so Hwasin could win something for once. Either way they were splitting the winnings. Still this takes away from the 'competitive spirit.' EDIT: Besides that, I don't feel like going through shitloads of Hwasin youtube videos to pinpoint the games he threw. They have private investigators working on it, so there is no need.

A few pple on that list are earning some really big bucks. I don't think it's the environment so much as the former progamers being involved. If your hyung or senior, someone you trusted in the past tells you it's ok to do something like that and you're barely out of your teens/early twenties, it's very easy to fall to temptation. Most Korean progamers turn pro/have lived with their team since high school, their family is basically their team. If one of their family members is part of it, it's very easy to get involved.

Wellllll...this is obviously very, very, very, very, very, very bad. Worst-case scenario, this could spell the end of Korean BW progaming for good; or at least wound it enough for SC2 to take over. However, I think we should hold out on outright condemning rumored players and other people until we have some kind of confirmation. There's no point speculating wildly and then using your speculations to beat up on people. Mostly, I REALLY hope that that "insider" list is fake...especially Stork-wise. ![]()

Their uniforms would be highly sought-after progamer swag too. Naturally high-fiving after each win is a bit tricky with the handcuffs on, but that's the Price of Justice... I wonder how handcuffs effect APM?

E-sports organizers knew about this and attempted solving the issue through various methods, but as all illegal business goes, they were good at avoiding and re-opening. At a closed conference between E-sports organizers and betting site representatives, the betting sites in a bold move suggested that they should find a way to co-exist with the illegal betting sites - or else they'll release the list of everyone in the e-sports who are involved in the shady deals. Holy fuck, either these "E-sports organizers" are stupid as bricks or they were all so deeply involved that they couldn't back out of it. Setting up conferences with these betting sites, when their only goal is to wring as much money as they can from the scene? There's no way they would've come to an agreement that wouldn't have fucked them over and turned progaming into a joke. At first I thought only individual players were doing this, but it makes sense that there were intermediaries, and that they were the people who had access to the rosters and lineups and were involved in the nitty-gritty of team management. They probably helped single out the players who would be interested in these deals. I wonder what the sponsors are thinking.

I don't think that list can be fully true though. I can't find it in myself to consider some of those names as actual possibilities. On the flip side, that's exactly why its truth would be a death-blow.
