There is one thing I don't get: With the new rules, isn't the lineup appearance scoring going to be more crappy compared with the old system?
Example:

Before:
oz 3 - skt 0
forgg > boxer
jaedong > bisu
hiya > fantasy
perfectman - soo
This way perfectman and soo get +1 for appearance, plus you were 100% sure that oz was going to line up a toss and skt a zerg. But now things could be like:
forgg > boxer
jaedong > bisu
hiya > fantasy
we don't need fourth match, bye. Only 6 guys with +1 for appearance, compared to the regular 8. (actually this would hurt no matter what race rule they use)
or
forgg > boxer
jaedong > bisu
hiya < fantasy
killer < best
jaedong < bisu
One could say that you can't exactly predict which players they will field if the rule was still there (probably spear/pm & soo/hyuk) but at least some people would put them in their teams.
Now, if you take wl as a premise, it's pretty obvious things like ace w/o zergs, estro w/o toss, hite w/o toss, oz w/o toss, etc will happen often. IMO this hurts the cheaper players more than it boost the "solid" players (since they are usually less and more expensive) and it will lead people to have more similar fpl lineups. I'm talking about guys like flying, horang2, perfectman, mvp just to name a few.
It would be cool if non-played races from each team get some love if things goes like in the example. Something like +1 to all oz protoss and skt zergs since their coach is a bitch. (Or maybe only if their team doesn't win). Maybe this would encourage people to just not put some 1$ player because of the team win.
p.s. I know that in wl things can go like: 4-0, only 5 different players see action and all of them can play the same race, but since this is not wl i'm just giving my opinion. :p

so do players only get lineup points if they actually play? ie if SKT gets 3-0'd with Bisu, Best, and Hyuk losing, will Fantasy get 0 or 1 point?
cause now we dont really have the situation where a team gets 3-0'd and the 4th scheduled player doesnt play right?

Read the scoring example.
edit: Ohhh sorry, you mean the lineup point. Since we don't know who they would have sent, we can't assign a lineup point for a possible 4th player in 3-0 / 0-3 series.

A few years ago the format was hidden lineups for a long time before the current version of proleague and everything was fine. Teams didn't specialize in one race then, they didn't specialize in one race during WL, and they probably won't specialize in one race just because of this rule change. The world didn't collapse back then, it won't now.
Even if we ignore the historical evidence (which by itself is probably enough to show that there won't be some radical change like 4 zvzs constantly), here are several additional reasons:
- It takes years to learn and be comfortable with a race at the highest levels of SC, progamers aren't just going to switch.
- Teams don't necessarily have enough good players of one race. Many teams barely have 2 or 3 top level guys in each race. Where are they going to find others? Its not like Fantasy is going to switch to Protoss so SKT has a full P line.
- Teams need players of every race because they practice with teammates. If a team has all one race its more incentive for other teams to have a diversified team.
- Lastly, and probably most importantly, why would a team want to just specialize in one race and field 4 of one race anyway? What advantage does this bring?

I think alot depends on tonight lol. If Bisu goes 0-2, everyone is sticking him on their anti. if he goes 2-0, he looks much more attractive at 7 points

killer is the only 4 pt imo worth to be chosen,theres also Mind/Baby to fit in but Killer definitely appear in Oz's matches and hes pretty decent player whereas Mind and Baby [or wemade] will collide with each other's line up.As for others its all MBC players,Flash is just too expensive.
