That's why Blaze is so bad as well. But Blaze is actually worse.
All the people complaining about LT against Terrans:
Imagine your entire base is surrounded by cliffs and there is absolutely NO FLANKING ROOM whatsoever.
Edit: Oh yeah, your nat is 1000 miles from your base and only contains a few minerals.

I agree with Python. Pretty murderous, that one.

Jungle Story produced some really agressive and incredible games in the past. I think it's a great map. I remember a Hwasin vs Boxer on this map that kicked so much ass (and Hwasin actually won!?)
It's just the kind of map that got outdated by modern strategies and meta-game - players and fans wouldn't appreciate it anymore - but it did it's job very well done in the past.

I always hated Hall of Valhalla as a zerg..fuck that map lol. I don't understand all the hate for LT, its a classic in my book and defending vs tanks on your cliff isn't hard lol.

Labyrinth On battle.net listed as a "map of the week" in october of 98. These are the kind of maps we had to play on in the early days of starcraft.
Also, Cyrstallis. Whoever thought that map was a good idea should be shot. Worst part is that was a Blizzard map intended to be used as a melee map.
And a third, Crazy Critters. Good luck finding room to build on this map without killing dozens of critters. Some of blizzard's maps aren't half bad ... some of them are complete ass.

Not to mention how it's seriously impossible to 12hatch if you spawn on 12. Completely asymmetric bases, etc. etc.
Eh, you can 12hatch on either blizzard version of LT, but you have to 3hatch.

Crystallis is a throwback to WC2, it's a similar map and concept to one already in WC2. I had fun xD
Labyrinth is also mad fun for FFA or RW

Ugh, I remember a similar map in WC2 as well, that was a total pain. This map wasn't used in serious play, was it? It is a good thing those critters weren't Pandabearguys (Ursadons), no one would ever win then.

Actually, IIRC, the critters were space filling and you had a single worker. You had to kill at least 16 critters to build a town hall if you were lucky.

Crystallis is easily the worst map ever. Labyrinth, and its big brother, Bridge To Bridge 98, make for AWESOME free for alls.
I remember once I convinced two players who were having a bo5 loser picks livestreamed to pick Bridge to Bridge 98 if he lost game 4...two reasonably well-known foreigners, too, though I can't remember who they are anymore.
If anyone remembers being in the epic 50 minute game on bridge to bridge 98 where BOTH observers got so bored they started fucking around with the players, please let me know who you are so I can apologize.

I agree these maps can be fun to play everyonce in awhile for fun. They aren't good for any sort of regular serious play though lol. Long FFAs are always fun. I can't remember the map, but I had one 5 way FFA with friends a long time ago. It ended up lasting 4 hours and ending in a 3 way draw. Basically by a series of tech choices by everyone, running the map out of money and being unable to tech switch no one was able to attack. It ended with 2 protosses and a zerg. I ended up with a decent size group of scouts, that I made to counter carrier/battle cruiser shenanigans. The other protoss had cannons and small ground force of mostly goons. I couldn't attack him because my scouts would have been toasted. He couldn't attack me because I had too many cannons. The zerg ended up with mostly just guardians, a few mutas, and a load of spore colonies left. He couldn't attack at all, because my scouts would have eaten his army up. I couldn't attack him because of the spore colonies .. and the other protoss couldn't attack him because of the guardians. Anyway, it ended up with the last hour of the game being filled posturing and refusal to give up lol. It was pretty boring at the time, but fun to look back on.
