My Flash number is 3 as a result of the pounding inflicted on me by  iNcontroL.
Edit: Upon further examination of the rules it appears my Flash number is 4 because I've beaten a friend of mine who beat iNcontroL.

I think the OP is saying that you need to BEAT that person to get your FlaSh number. If you didn't beat iNcontroL, it doesn't give you the number.
Unless I'm just not understand this correctly.

edit: after seeing the rules better my Flash number is definitely a 3.

I beat incontrol in a clanmatch in broodwar  so my flash number is 3! whoah that's fucking insane!!! does it count that he offraced and i don't think he was that serious about it since i was a c rank newbie? was a bo3 though ^_^ essentially this means anyone who ever beat incontrol has a flash number of 3 though, which should be quite a lot.

What if you beat the person in SC2? What about Chess? Foot race? Pie-eating contest?
In each of those respectively, my Flash number is 93, 87, 72, and 1.

I can't say with 100% certainty, but I'm quite sure it's a 3.

I'm going to guess 5 or at most 6. The thing about the way the Flash number is being defined is that if you've beaten someone even just once, that counts as a connection.

Did Incontrol really beat Jaedong once? I know zvz is volatile but that's a pretty impressive accomplishment, everyone knows mondi once beat sea, why haven't I heard this?
p.s. anyone who's beaten desrow has a FlaSh number of two not that its nearly as impressive
