The ones I remember most vividly are the Frieza ones on Piccolo's planet where Goku first goes Super Saiyan. The Cell Games would work too though. | ||

Goku vs. Nappa Goku vs. Vegeta (ep 23 is the shit) Goku vs. Burta + Jeyce Goku vs. Captain Ginyu (both battles) Goku vs. Frieza, the entire battle (10 eps at least, probably 15) Piccolo vs. Cell stage 1 Piccolo vs. Android 17 Trunks' Flashback Special (this should count as 2 eps, but it's sick). Goku vs. Cell Gohan vs. Cell This should be about 30-40 episodes already... If I had to add more I'd do Trunks vs. Cell Goku vs. Vegeta (Majin) Goku + Vegeta vs. Kid Buu Cell was the best villain btw. | ||

Sure the charging up may be a lil' boring, but it got me hooked ( I have watched for so long and the bastard is still not dead, I just might as well keep watching) and I became Dbz fan after that. Other than that I would reccomend the films, as they have less breaks and very very compact stories (The Legendary SSJ was too compact imho, they just give Goku their energy and BOOM the indestructible SSJ dies after one punch, when goku didn't even have to really power up properly ;o) | ||

All the things that give DBZ its bad name were far less prominent in the first sagas. Dragonball was much better... Or hey, if you want some good shounen, grab some One Piece (but not the english dubs. *shudder*. Never the english dubs). | ||

Before that he was hospitalized fighting vegeta but was instantly reguvenized by the senzou bean. Once he recovered, he basically went straight to planet namek after learning the others went there to seek the dragon balls. I THINK this is how it happened so im confused abut "that dude on that planet to train." Right before frieza saga is the sayian saga and the only training goku got before the frieza saga was inside his capsule im sure. | ||

I honestly watched every episode in 5th grade *until* the 10 episode (2 weeks at 1 ep a day ffs) fight with frieza I don't remember everything well, but I'd show him from the snake road to just before the frieza fight | ||
