I went in to get my timetable yesterday, when i got it, i only had 4 courses in total on it, 2 each semester. So i went to guidance to try to fix up my schedual.
My school had a budget cut, and they had to cut back on the number of classes each course had.
One course i took "Earth and Space Science" was in the way of a course that I needed for my 2nd semester courses. We moved my timetable around a bit to accomadate the class i needed which was 11U math, which i needed for adv functions and calculas. We then discovered 11U math was full, so we moved everything back.
Another big problem was that adv functions was full, and i needed that as a prerequsite for calculas. So now i have 2 courses that have full classes and I cant get into.
Since i want to graduate this year, we moved on to other options, Virtual school and night school. Since i have 2 classes in total i NEED to take out of school.
I have already done 11 U/C math so i believe that i can take 11U math online and still do decently.
My questions are....
What is online/virtual school like?
Why did my school cut down classes on a course like advanced functions, when it's needed for every single university course (cept english).
Is virtual school harder of easier then nightschool
Keep in mind im not naturally smart like a lot of people are, and to get good marks i need to work some what hard.
**EDIT**
Also since im taking so few courses im now considered a part time student and my father's insurance through his work, which covers my glasses, and dental coverage only covers full tiem students.

The thing im most concerned about, is a math course online how am i supposed to write out formulas for homework and stuff?

mspaint?
but seriously, they might ask you to use the equation/math editor(wateveritwasiforgot) in ms word or learn to use those symbol things as replacements where you should expect to use a lot of parenthesis. (((()())))()()((()))(()))

I don't know how the Canada systems work, but I was homeschooled/unschooled (I had no curriculum or work) instead of going to highschool. I recommend it for anyone. I had to take a GED test to get the equivalent of a highschool diploma, and later took the SAT to go to college.
In short, perhaps dropping out of school and taking an equivalence test is the way to go.

And by dropping out, I mean doing it under the officlal cover of homeschooling.

Wooow, what an insanely overcomplicated system.. Anyways, online classes is so extremely individual - i couldn't pass one as there are too many distractions - many others don't pay attention in class and read up on things on their own when they write their papers and study for tests regardless.
Then again, i never study for anything provided i've attended the classes and think that's a much more comfortable solution, so i'm not complaining.
