Want to play some heads up? I can put some money on full tilt if you're interested. A single good streak will get you back to zero ![]()

It took me about 5 attempts and about 3 years before i finally started loving the game(and not the cash). And when i did, i started doing somewhat well=)

![]() Definitely read LiquidPoker (the articles section especially) and do your best to play straight-up. Trying to get fancy with players who will call you almost all the time is just going to make you lose money.

- you will of course lose some, but you will win more eventually - i don't suggest playing to actually earn money ;;

I will make money eventually, i just need real experience to get better. unfortunately its with real money AND time, whereas sc is just time.

it'd be like learning brood war at D- and trying to get wins through 4 pool or something, you'll get wins but you'll suck as you move up

Banks like to make it quite a hassle to get money on them now though (for instance, my bank (Wachovia) won't let me use my debit card to put money on gaming/gambling sites, even though playing online poker is still legal)

So should i just play with play money for a long time or do super small blinds?

Common problems with people who are bad at poker: They don't know what pot odds are. They get pissed off when they lose a hand. They think AA is the nuts and can't be folded. They think their straight is good on a board with 3 of the same suit, and multiple callers still in the hand. They think their low card flush is the nuts. They think they're just unlucky. They don't pay attention to what position they are in. They don't observe the other players habits. They don't observe their own habits and table image. They play with money they don't have. They're worried about losing the money on the table. They think about the money they could make before they've gotten good. They idolize ballers and desperately want their lifestyle immediately. They ask advice from the wrong people. They use the chat. They use the chat A LOT. And so on.

Every time you lose money just tell yourself "It will be different NEXT TIME, I am a poker master just waiting to break out!" and go deposit more money. The sharks will thank you.
