hi my names nick im a master zerg on na and kr and i often play in the playhem daily tournaments and while overall its been a pleasent experience today i encounterd "a dick" heres where the story will start.
its 7 at night and im sitting down to play my game and my opponent imbatvchugle is not on, at 7:09 im getting ready to report a no show then he pops on great i can play my game now. So i make and invite him to game and we say are glhfs and were off.
Game starts everythings good its about 2 minutes 30 seconds and his probe comes in my base and just as it half circles my base bam sc2 freezes!!! (my sc2 has never froze before neither has anything on my pc ever, and the only things on my pc are fallout, sc2, skype internet explorer and fraps) so 2 mins and 35 seconds my game freezes even though everything else running on my pc at the time is still perfectly fine so i quickly get back on make the game again and pm him to play (ive had people lag out in this tourney before and we always just regame if its early)
this time when i pm him to play its no thats a loss and im like what how its 2 minutes into the game and he says i scouted so it counts as loss for you he then unfriends and blocks me
(personaly i also found it suspisious that he was ready knowing the rule that if an opponent scouts and you disconect its a loss and also supsisicous that my game froze right when he scouts?? (im not saying he drop hacks but its very odd for someone who often has 2/3 streams open music running while playing sc2 all day every day with no problems ever to experience a freeze my processor was at like 20 percent load. Also and maybe its just me but if someone drops 2 mins into a game wouldnt you be like ya man lets regame not like you lose "block"
so ya this whole thing sucked today but not that big of a deal i never win the tourney anyways ): but it still iritated me and made me wonder if i had encounterd just a dick or a hacker dick in a tournament anyways thats all ive got and glhf in future endevors :D

That's just stupid.. kid should have gave you a regame.
Not like he scouted a crazy build or something.. a standard 14 pool.. and plus, nothing even happened yet..

If the Playhem rules are as your opponent stated in regards to scouting, then he has no real obligation to accept a regame. Sure, it's a bit unsporting, but when in a competition, manner often takes a back seat to competing. I would not go so far as to say he was a "dick", or that he was cheating, though. Abrasiveness aside, your opponent technically "won".
As for your freezing issue, that does seem odd, but accidents happen. If you're really that suspicious about the guy, follow his progress through the Playhem and see how his matches went.

the admin did say to regame but then he must have told the admin his 9 scout just hit my base when i droped so the admin told me sorry he won

I'm sorry man. People will be dicks in every community no matter what. At the very least you known someone with that little respect will probably not go very far in e-sports (or in life, probably)

If this issue happens to his future opponents, you should probably bring it up

Regardless of whether he was a dick, he's not wrong to deny a regame (unless he was a hacker, but that's another story).
From the opponent's perspective, how does he know that you didn't disconnect on purpose because you wanted a regame (e.g. if you were doing a proxy play and got scouted). It is simply your bad luck that you disconnected.

I would probably even go a little bit further and say your blog is just whining about how you lost and how you wish the rules didn't disqualify you from getting another chance. Unfortunate, but that's life. Good luck in the future.

A win is a win, honestly if you were pitted against a harder opponent you were afraid of playing, I'm sure you'd take the win as well.

It was gsl antiga only 2 spawns and all playhem maps are on gsl esv or big maps. And even though i understand what you mean i still think it ahould be circumstantial cause liteally nothing happen that game

I bet the issue here is Playhem runs multiple tournaments per day with tons of people, and its hard for them to have enough refs to be able to watch all the replays of every time something questionable happened and make a decision without holding up the tournament, so they put in standardized rules for dealing with disconnects--and in this case the rule is "you d/c you lose." Tough luck, but it would be much more difficult to run the tournaments without this rule

sorry man i guesse i didnt explain right, the admin acctually reversed the call and said regame but then the guy told the admin he didnt want to and that his probe got to my base so then the admin said no regame i lose

The fact that the admin extended a possible regame to you was given in light of the fact that your opponent officially won. If the said opponent who did technically won does not wish to regame where he was legitimately the winner, he has the right. It might not be sporty, but he won.

I have to go with DarkPlasmaBall and Archas here, they are the gosus of the blogs. On the brightside, it was only one playhem so its not the end of the world  .

Unfortunate for that to happen to you. Shit happens. But I would have to side with your opponent on this one. Bending of rules is a big nono in a tournament setting. It was up to him whether he wanted a free win, or if he wanted to actually vs you and risk losing. He took the win, and I don't see anything wrong with that. Doesn't seem like a dick move to me unless I'm missing something here.
