Hello everyone!
I've been laddering lately, winning, losing and such and as any gentleman or lady would do is say GG no matter the outcome of the game. Recently, whenever I have lost several games in a row and said "GG", I never truly meant it. I wouldn't be surprised if many of you have felt the same.
One day while I was streaming, I felt like doing a riské build which involved delaying my warpate research till the 10 minute mark. With much surprise, I won the game. What was even more interesting was the response that came from the opposing player. Instead of saying "GG", he said "Bon Giber". My friends who were watching the stream were as perplexed as I was.
For the next couple of games, I decided to say "Bon Giber" myself and see what effect it had on me when I lost or won a game. What I found was that saying "Bon Giber" at the end of a game I lost had an interesting effect on me. Whenever I typed out "GG" when I lost, I usually did it quickly and it was more of a piss off than anything else. Though when I said "Bon Giber", it made me chuckle a bit. I wasn't agitated or as disturbed when I lost a game, the feeling seemed to have simply rolled off, I wanted to play more, and in general it made my games more enjoyable.
So, if you're tired of saying "GG" everyday and want to try something different, try out "Bon Giber". Post your thoughts!

.....
was a banner really necessary?

you had to go make a thread about this? I prefer GG aswell.

"Bon Gibier" = French for Good Game if I'm not mistaken, so it's the same thing really.

I thought it would make the post more attractive, it took less than a minute to make.

"Bon Giber" or "Bon Gibier"? Cause the second one makes more sense since its gg in french.
|

If you abbreviate to BG, it'd read bad game...

I think it would be interesting to see this on NA ladder. Bon Giber sounds better than Bon Gibier IMO.
