Maybe it is your playstyle. I'm a mid to high masters player on NA, and I almost never get BMed. People are actually very nice, but that is probably because i never cheese or do anything lame like that.
|
there's a lot of BM in the korean server too (back when I played and I don't see why it'd be different now).
The key is to know how to swear and call them names in korean when they call you "canadian white man trash".
|
Not sure if it's exactly BM but at least 50% of the people I play don't GG. Especially if I win with a pressure build or even timing attack. I don't have any experience with the other leagues though.
|
Ya, BM can be really disheartening when you're trying to ladder. If I get bm a few games in a row I kinda lose my motivation. Especially, if its bm while the opponent is winning. Nothing irks me more than someone who is winning and decides to trash talk you in the process. I can grudingly understand when the loser bms, but when you're being bmed by the winner it feels really terrible. You already feel shitty when you lose, you don't need someone rubbing the shit in your face on top of that.

Yep NA full of bm. That's pretty standard.
I've had some koreans bm me, or I can only assume it's bm from the wall of text in korean.
But it's w.e. I don't like it either but kr too laggy so I just deal with it. Once your mmr is high enough to play more gms it gets a bit more manner,

Odd, I don't have this experience at all :o I play on EU and NA and I find that, while both are generally well-mannered, EU has slightly more BM, at least at my level.
Hell, I got cursed at in Russian the other day. I don't even remember the last time someone on NA BM'ed me.
|
I only play SEA and NA but i find more bm on NA too. I don't really care anymore especially coz SEA is so cheery and happy place, if NA is tiring I just play SEA with many <3 in chat and then i feel better.

Its the most BM, but only because we don't really have this game mean so much to us. When the pros cry when they lose, you can see that love for the game. I'm not saying we all should cry, but its obvious that especially around Bronze, and then again at dia-masters, people think they are good (yes in bronze i haven't the slightest idea why, but they do think that way) and therefore when they win, they can Halo teabag you via chat. When they lose, they think you cheesed, for whatever reason, and then they rage quit or just f10 + N it and leave without a gg (not really rage, just a quit). Notice how i'm using an indefinite they because I don't know the amount of people who do this, and i am not one of those people who do this so i can only speculate, but i think that is why.
