ok I want you guys to honestly answer me
am i the only one that feels like he is placed in the wrong league? i mean im in high gold, and im grateful ive made it this far, but honestly some of the people i plan, and even the ones who are favored against me, i just see so many holes in their play
im not saying that mine is perfect, i supply block, forget to expand, little harassment, etc but my opponents usually dont stand up to me at all. i have some diamond and masters friends, and when i play them, im always hit with tons of pressure, early to mid, most of which i can hold off, and when it gets into the lategame im faced with a 5 base vs my three or four. i feel alot better playing against higher ranked people, since you dont ever look at them and go 'wow wtf are they doing.'
maybe blizzard should let us play players from higher leagues more often, so we can rank up quicker
i'm mostly venting though, kinda pissed from the games ive played recently

Nope; I'm sure alot of people say the same thing. You can get some really stupid players in any league.

If you're in the wrong league, you won't be there for long. If you're really better than your opponents, your MMR will rise and you'll be promoted. If you think you belong in Diamond or Master's, ladder more often.

If you're constantly beating players, then you will end up playing better opponents. It's all based off of MMR, not necessarily league stuff. Just keep playing -- your opponents will be better.
Also, the time when you are playing may affect what kind of opponents are in the pool. Let's say you're playing during lunch time in PST. Your opponents in the NA time zones may still be in school or work, thus making your pool of perspective players lower.
I always feel that I end up playing more difficult opponents at night. But that just may be me. :p

Just keep playing games. In the long run it will auto correct itself and you WILL be in the right league.. (if its been like 100 games where your top gold and you still havnt been promoted, then your just actually a really really good for a gold player)

So you don't like being matched up with people that are weaker than you but think you should be matched up with people that are much stronger than you?

I was top 8 masters S1 stopped playing got placed S2 played >60 games now im in diamond S3 and i actually thought it would be easy to go back to masters but i gotta say people are actually WAY better now and i rightfully belong in Diamond cause im not even top8 yet. My mechanics are rusty and my strategies back in the STONE age.
Im also slightly confused you say you always stomp people in your league but you want blizzard to allow people to play higher ranked people?

If you win games, youll play better people simple as that. The more wins you get, the more better people you will get matched up with.

If you're not good enough to rank up, it won't happen. Being a good play isn't only about having good build orders, solid macro, and positioning. It's about scouting, doing correct responses, unit control, multitasking. If you're solid in all these areas, you'd be ranking up quite fast, system flaw or not.

As I improve I'm starting to notice how awful all my opponents are. I'd be thinking "wow, how am I matched with this guy? he has like 17 scvs at 9 minutes." But then I realize I make more mistakes than these guys, like worse spending, worse micro, worse build order, worse army/minimap awareness. Master league is a long ways ahead for me T_T

Gold ain't shit, and there's no such thing as high gold.....

There's a lot of people with a lot of holes in their play in every league. And odds are these people got to their ranks by luck / cheese.
At higher levels, poor play simply doesn't hold up.
Just keep playing and you'll get your promotion.

His point was that masters wasn't that great.
But if you don't consider masters higher levels, than what is? Grandmaster? Code A?
Keep on playing and you will get promoted to where you should be, the system actually works out pretty well.

like i know they sometimes put us up against stronger players, but i dont feel its often enough; i want to play plat people more.

As you win, the system matches you against more and more skilled opponents. In the long run your win ratio will become 50/50 unless you're very close to the top of your server.
If you've played 100 games this season (which you should have by now), you're probably accurately rated unless you've in the past 20 or so games improved a great deal. Which means, you're playing against opponents with the same MMR as you-- they are at your skill level.

To play against plat people more, play more and win more. That's all you need to do.

even though i feel like a suck alot
but if blizzard let us play high-leagues all the time, the plats will see us as playing low leagues. the plats wanna play diamonds, the diamonds wanna play masters, etc etc. same as bronze wanna play silver and silver wanna play gold.
just practice your mechanics, dw about your league and eventually you'll rank up.

You gotta remember, those guys you play in plat might be on their way down into gold if you feel they are MUCH worse than you. At the same time you are probably just improving so they might only SEEM terrible compared to where you used to be =p
