I love Asians. They are my favorite. This has nothing to do against Asians but is a post out of actual curiosity
Ok, so I'm pretty good friends with everyone at my work and thus the topic of Team Liquid has come up with each of them at least once. When I try to explain to them about StarCraft and how popular it is in Korea they constantly ask why I like a game that only Asians play. They ask if all my friends are Asian and it doesn't help that the two times people have come up to me asking who I am on Team Liquid they've both been Asian.
This poll is to hopefully prove the myth that you don't have to be Asian to be completely obsessed with StarCraft.

not asian, or half asian, or quarter asian. when i played bw actively most of the people i played with were mostly not asian, then i went and played dota with tl and was surrounded by them
I actually thought about making this poll, too, was interested how large of a percentage from TL is asian. I voted "at least half" in both polls, I'm half German and half Korean, need a gf but I'm relatively muscular ^^
Everyone at the Ottawa LAN but one person was not Asian, at least from what I could tell. I have a friend who goes to UVic and says that she saw a bunch of Asians gathered around a club poster for StarCraft... I think it really just depends on where you are, but lots of people like StarCraft. It's possible to make an argument that white people have more casual gamers, and so therefore more console gamers these days, but I don't really think it matters. Casual white people gamers still play StarCraft, just basically 5 times a year and they're awful.
edit: I think the poll basically reflects this. Asias such a huge place that it's not even significant that a 40% of posters claim to be Asian.
wow, I'm surprised there's so few people who are half. I guess me and so many of my cousins are half that I just assume its more common. Then again, there's a whole world beyond just where I live.

Yes I'm Asian, I'm Chinese. As an extra note, amongst all my Asian friends (and I do have a lot) NONE of them are remotely into StarCraft. Amongst all my friends whether they be Asian or not, I am still the only one into StarCraft, god I'm so alone when it comes to being a SC fanatic.
