I'm looking for epic music, generally without vocals, although sometimes vocals are ok. I'm talking about those movie soundtrack kind of pieces. Here's an example:

This was used in the Atonement trailer. I haven't seen it. I don't think I will. But the music is pretty sick.
I do have the full collections from Immediate Music and X-Ray Dog, but I admit I haven't listened to everything. I also have alot of individual stuff, LOTR pieces, some Clint Mansell stuff, etc.

I guess my definition of epic music doesn't exactly fit the samples you provied (seems like I like it a bit more fast paced and less... um "melancholic"?) So anyways, here are some of my favorites:
Immediate music, X-ray dog music, Pfeifer Bros music, they all make epic sounding music for trailers that might suit your needs. You'll have to torrent it somewhere though, because it's not available to the public via normal means.
- Beethoven's epic 9th conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler in March 1942 - "cyclonic fury, ... frightening and exhausting, ... drenched with torment, anger and a sense of struggle." (John Ardoin) - Recorded live in the middle of wartime Berlin and broadcast to soldiers - Hitler's favorite conductor (and one of the greatest). The only conductor of repute to remain in Germany and apparently smuggled a large number of Jews out - High ranking Nazi's including Goebbels present
I think epica is pretty fucking epic. Hence the name I suppose. Female-fronted metal, so if you dont like that then dont bother. But if you do, its good shit. Their new album is awesome (youtube burn to a cinder and unleashed ^^). Other related stuff: after forever, stream of passion.. there are others but those are my favorite 3.
If you dig opera, anything by puccini kicks ass and is quite epic. Turandot is like, one of my favorite songs? works? pieces?....regardless. << nessun dorma from Turandot. Probably the most epic male aria ever written.
As far as vocal-less epic music classical is always good. Rodrigos guitar concertos are SO epic (concierto de aranjuez is amazing, especially act 2). Lets see...
The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald! In all seriousness, though, you might want to check out Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, Op. 35. The first and fourth movement are particularly epic.
