Marine Architecture + Show Spoiler +Picture Make: Canon Model: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL Shutter Speed: 30/1 second F Number: F/18.0 Focal Length: 18 mm ISO Speed: 100 Date Picture Taken: Aug 25, 2009, 5:03:16 AM To the practical observer It's just a matter of time "You can deviate from the commonplace only to fall back in line." I understand mine's a risky plan and your system can't miss But is security after all a cause or symptom of happiness? Brave, yet afraid, his eyes on horizon in a steady-set gaze a mariner soon from an open cocoon takes a moment to summon his courage to stifle his grave apprehension and trembling, approaches the surf A father's benediction as his hopeful son departs to brave the sea of rage and conquer at all costs lingers in his memory and visions still surviving in a logic-proof shell that should have been held sacred, safe and hidden well are compromised in usury With every rising sun that yields no sight of land the hesitation cultivates within the tired man and rumors spread of mutiny and though the time will come when dream and day unite tonight the only consolation causing him to fight is fearless faith in destiny (Dream Theater)
I was at the Black Sea shore with some former colleagues from High School and my girlfriend for ten days (still didn't leave Romania!). Even though I hate crowded and sunny places, and I dislike the sun and the loud beach music and noise, I have found solace in the lonely sunrises. I also hold my little sweetling dearer than ever: This was also the first (actually the second) time I've tried my hand at a portrait. I usually feel terribly inhibited, and only free when alone in the middle some forgotten scenery. + Show Spoiler ++ Show Spoiler +

did you take all the pictures and write all the poems?
|
that looks awesome. nice job
|
The poems are from the rock bands I've named inside the brackets, the photos are mine, since otherwise this blog wouldn't have a point, now would it?
|
congrats, she's hot. i would bang.

You can never tell with Romanians though right?
|
Very nice pictures man! Do you mind if I paint one or two during the next few years? (lol my to-do list is growing way faster then my portfolio).

First pic in last spoiler earned the 5/5.
On a serious note, the second spoiler pic really makes me want to go swimming in the ocean. Like...right now, lol.

So, so nice. I want to make one my background.

It's rather amazing to be honest. Keep up the good work.

Stick to creating [WL] threads. When an azn nerdling lusts over some guy's girlfriend in a thread which that guy spent alot of effort on, it's only natural for that creature to be trashed like the mindless moose he is.
It's rather amazing that with 4,000 posts, you can't identify the correct person to ridicule.
Amazing pictures and poem. Sorry to derail

Those pictures are...amazing.
What equipment did you use to take those?
|
There are no HDRs, I was just playing with longer exposures
I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTi (EOS 400D) with the standard kit lens (18-55 f3.5-5.6 which sucks ass honestly)
|
|
how the fuck do you do that.
|
a proper equipment and proper exposure at the proper time and location can make these shots no hdr needed great pics i am wondering what the exif data looks like for the second pic (mostly interested in exposure time)
portrait work is also great but some skin toning work (removing some ugly shadows, blemishes) on ps would probably do the photo (and her) a favor

Could you give specifics on one of the pics? like what ISO, what aperture, what shutter speed?
I also have an EOS 400D from my brother but I have no real clue about photography but I plan on taking a whole lot of pictures during my korea trip in 3 weeks.
lololol, couldn't see your post above yet when I started writing this one :D would you mind giving the same specs about marine architecture?
