The OP hasn't updated in a year and isn't responding to PMs
The game is now live and actually has a bit of interest since many people are looking to play CCGs while waiting for their hearthstone key

I pledge to update regularly
-edit Here is what I would put in the OP

MMDoC is an online CCG where you pick a hero, deploy your forces, and crush your opposition

If you have some experience with Magic: The Gathering, read this:

Main similarities with MTG:
- Both players have life (20) and try to win by getting the opponent's life to 0
- Many types of cards such as creatures, spells, and fortunes. The latter two are similar to sorceries/enchantments
- Multiple factions each with its unique playstyle
- Playing cards are dependent on resources
Main differences with MTG:
- No lands, you get 1 resource per turn similar to Hearthstone
- Hero has attributes that you can increase per turn, this is an additional requirement to playing cards
- Creatures are deployed on a grid, limitations on where you can attack
- No in-response abilities, I believe this is a feature to avoid disrupting flow in a players' turn
- Cannot mix factions, but there's a neutral faction available to all
For comparison with Hearthstone:

In general, I would say DoC is the second most polished online CCG next to Hearthstone but has much better mechanics.
Better:
- Creature deployment on grid makes for more strategic depth
- Many more cards and game-play variety, to win you can rush, One-Turn-Kill, mill, etc.
- Tournaments easily distinguish top players from the rest
Worse:
- No arena, I don't think anything "limited" is on the horizon
- Since you can only constructed, it takes a while to grind the cards you want
- No effects/sounds for individual cards
How to get started:
+ Show Spoiler +
- Download the client, set up your account
- Pick a starting faction, Inferno is easiest, other two is about the same
- Use the promo codes for extra packs
- Play through the campaign
- Your first 1000 seals should spent on "The Box" and gold on "Reinforcement Packs"
- If you are spending real money, buy "The Serious Box"
- Play the ladder, don't surrender ever (you miss out on exp)
- At 200 ELO, you can play tournaments but I would avoid them until you're comfortable with your deck
FAQ:
Is this game Free to Play? Yes
Is this game Pay to Win? Less than other CCGs
