So I had no idea Snet was a member here until I saw a random blog post, frankly this is one of the funniest things I've ever had happen online.
Myself+ a friend were using a shared ventrilo server with snets group of friends, myself+friend were mostly Q3/Q4 dueling and snet would troll us, and then chat with us.
Anyone who knows me and has gamed with me knows about once every hour or two, I will AFK to make a cup of tea, which leads to a lot of wtf is tea when you talk to americans, and europeans who just mock me while drinking wine ( frenchies ) or vodka ( eastern europeans ).
Anyway, Snet was intrigued by our crazy British Tea drinking ways and decided he'd try making some.
He got his mother to buy him some, and then proceeded to try and make some.
After he had made his tea, he asked us why it tasted so gritty.
What we said.
Gritty he said.
I kind of realised what had happened and asked him to explain exactly what he'd done.
He'd torn open the tea bag, poured it into a pan of boiling water and then let it brew before trying to drink it.
I fucking died of laughter. Till my sides actually hurt. The next day when I woke up my ribs were actually sore I'd laughed that hard.
( I guess this isn't that funny, but you have to imagine a slow american drawl of an accent retelling what he'd just done, especially after weeks of trolling us ).
Ahhhh <3 Snet so much, and gl with the paramedicing

I'm American and I've not just heard of tea I made it when I was 12.... then again I'm italian and love all types of food so w/e . + Show Spoiler +Still... if you could remove the remark T.T

This is not a problem for asians. Our tea ain't no little baggies, we brew from the leaf, then eat it and any residual chrysanthemums as a snack!

I drink tea I like me some green tea

Oh lord... tore the bag? Hahahaha.

I heard they don't have kettles in America either, which is mind boggling to me since basically every house in the country has at least one here.

I think every house I've been to has either a kettle or some device from which tea can be made, but brewing hot tea is not a particularity common activity, at least in my experience. I'd say when Americans think of tea, they usually imagine iced tea from a store or something like that
I didn't think, however, that someone would not understand a simple teabag...are there instructions on the box? never thought to check...
